"...I figured as much." Lynda says. "Perhaps Kalar's demon still lives, or they're being uncharacteristically friendly for another reason."

She wracks her brain for answers, but she cannot figure anything out.

"Well, they're not obedient, but they're not hostile. I don't know what we do with them." Lynda says, crossing her arms.

With that, the hounds look puzzled at Lynda. The walk up and smell her dress, begin to pant and walk around. Then one of them barks at the other and runs off back down the hallways. The other one follows it after a few seconds.

Gontort snorts. "Those dogs are insane." He lowers his axe, that had been held above his head the whole time the hellhounds were in the room. "I can show you where they came from. Follow me."

"Hmm...they're definitely interested in me." Lynda says. "What is it about me? My elven nature? They seemed interested in my dress...I doubt it'd be something as trivial as that."

Lynda begins to follow Gontort, with her weapon drawn. She looks to her party as well, to see if they'll follow.

Most of the party enters the dark hallway slowly, or not at all. Gontort marches quickly ahead with Lynda following him closely. The hallway seems to circle around several rooms, all of which have wooden doors. Some of the room seem to have more than one door leading to them. Gontort goes straight and then turns and arrives at a room with it's door hanging open. Inside Lynda sees the two hellhounds wrestling in the middle of 4 doghouses. Another hellhound emerges from one of the houses and rushes up to Lynda, it smells her furiously showing no sign of stopping. Another hellhound can be seen laying in it's house looking at Lynda, making no sign of coming out, making a total of 4 hellhounds in the room.

"Well now." Lynda says. "They're certainly drawn to me."

Lynda peers in to the doghouses to see if they have anything of value stashed into them.

Inside one doghouse are four gems. An onyx, an emerald, a diamond and another emerald that seems to be in a crudely resembling a dog.

"Ooh!" Lynda says. "Kalar will like this."

She takes the four gemstones. She reserves the onyx for Kalar.

Kalar, in quite a bit of pain, stands and brushes himself off. He says to Tammytharn, "Thank you for that my dear, you have my gratitude for causing the deaths of those that were affecting us. You have my word that I will not forget this." He smiles knowingly and gives her a slight bow.

"Now where did Gontort and Lynda head off to?"

He turns to Galse and says, "I'm going to head after Lynda and Gontort. I'm not sure I like their chances alone, as they both seem rather prone to provoking things. Do watch my back please, if you would be so kind."

With that, he heads off to follow the two.

Kalar follows in the direction he saw Lynda and Gontort go. He finds Lynda bending over inside a dog house with 2 of the hellhounds sniffing her butt. Gontort is no where to be seen and one of the hellhounds growls at Kalar.

Kalar backs slowly out of the room, trusting that Lynda has things under control. He looks around for Gontort, and heads off to try to find the fool before he gets a dragon to attack the party or something.

He checks the south-west room for Gontort. It's not the closest to the door to the main room, but knowing Gontort, he would probably head deeper into the dangerous unknown rather than back to the safe familiar.

Rachelle looks around the room, feeling like she should at least have someone watching her back. Certainly the blackness of this room wasn't making her feel any better, and what was with that smell?

She peeks into the west doorway, if only to see if the color scheme continues.

Kalar opens the door. Set into the south wall of this room is a 10' x 10' silver gate with four large keyholes. In front of the gate is a giant bull completely covered in clovers. The bull stands motionless like a statue.

Kalar closes the door as gently as he can. Well, at least he's found the "Gate of Silver Keys" or whatever it's called. But still no Gontort...

He heads for the room directly north of the Gate room, still searching for Gontort. By now, Kalar's concerned that he'll run into trouble himself before even finding the dwarf.

Kalar, heading north sees an open door to the north western room.
Gontort stands just inside this room. A pentagram surrounded by a circle has been painted in white paint on the floor in the middle of this room. An amber colored candle burns at each point of the pentagram. A hunting horn of amber hangs from a peg on one wall. There is movement in the darkness in the center of the pentagram and you see standing there a 10' tall humanoid covered with a dull gray scaly skin. Its gaunt body is hairless. Ivory fangs protrude from its mouth and its fingers end in metallic talons. Its eyes glow like smoldering coals and two huge bat-like wings grow out of its back.

"Hey, look another person." says the trapped devil. "I was just telling your friend here how I got cursed to look like this and trapped in this circle. If you'd come and help me out of here, I'd be really grateful."

Kalar doesn't say anything, but looks at the circle, trying to determine what sort of function it serves. He also tries to use his religious knowledge to determine what sort of creature he's dealing with.

"Gontrot, best if you get behind me. I'm used to dealing with creatures from other planes, and it might be better if you let me handle this. I promise, if it comes to fighting, you'll be the first to have at it. You have my word."
