Lynda crosses her arms and shakes her head.

"I should've known better than to run my mouth off..." She says angrily. "I...I thought I could've changed things for the better. We had met with Helena and she told us of your failures before we had gone to the past. Then I saw her again and thought I could prevent your misfortunes from happening...I knew as soon as I saw that damn bug whispering to the giant that your group was going to go to hell."

"It's a terrible feeling knowing that he died directly because of me. I appreciated the fact he was willing to talk things out, even after you and your whole group was immediately aggressive towards us. I wonder whatever became of the onyx statuette I gave him..." Lynda muses.

"Another other thing, Azedarac." Lynda says to him. "The amulets. The ones that absorb magic...where did you acquire them? Did they all come from the castle? The one that's in my possession came from a statue that was in the castle's chapel. Coming to Averoigne, we discovered they were sort of a symbol for the inquisitors."

"I don't mean to plague you with all these questions, but I'm constantly in pursuit for answers, and many of the questions I've asked can trace back to you. You seem to have many of the answers I'm looking for."

Rob, hearing Harvey's plan, speaks up. "I don't have any magic that will make you faster, but I can cast Freedom Of Movement on you, which will keep you safe if anything in there tries to grab or ensnare you."

If Harvey agrees, Rob will cast the spell.

Harvey thinks about it for a minute, and then nods. "Better safe than sorry."

With no indication that anything is coming through the other door, Kalar folds the hole back up and stores it away. He does the same with the caltrops he scattered. Hrulgin's destruction was unfortunate, but that is something to be amended later on.

For now, he will keep his eyes open, ready to strike should the need arise.

"We shall go with you," said the orc paladins as Harvey got ready to scout ahead. In addition to the other spells being cast on Harvey, Wren cast a frosty aura on the three. "That should slow the lil' buggers down.

"I created the amulets myself after witnessing a similiar amulet's power while in the castle. My comrade that had obtained it, vanished while messing around with those cards."

Meanwhile, Harvey and the orcs had made it to where Hrulgin had been attacked. There was no sign of the swarms moving their way. Ahead, the path turned again and Harvey could just begin to see another door.

"Let's keep going, slowly. They could be hiding in the fire, they could be hiding in the walls.. whole thing could be a trap. Watch where you step.. something made a hell of a noise last time." Harvey whispers, before giving a sigh and surveiling the area. Where the hell are they? Where could they have come from? And what could've made that loud of a sound?

Before carefully pressing forwards, he adds another whisper: "Don't forget the plan: First sign of trouble we run back and let the little nudist take care of 'em. Boy, I hope we can get that door open. Whole lot of us could just run right through."

"Oh yes, the card room." Lynda says. "I remember that room distinctly. A comrade of mine drew a void card and dropped to the floor, mentally dead."

"On our travels in Averoigne, we met the pagan sorceress Moriamis. She was very...eccentric. We learned that she was once affiliated with you and your cause. What happened between you two?" She mentions to Azedarac.

"She was affiliated with the other Azedarac. As you should already know, my true name is not Azedarac. I took over the role in order to better control the kingdom," said Azedarac, also known as Jeremiah. He didn't take his eyes off the door as he spoke with Lynda. Focused on the potential threat.

Harvey and the orc sisters crept forward. Nothing approached their way. As they reached what seemed to be the mid-way point of the path, the door at the end of the path began to slowly swing open. A high pitch screech burst out from the door then quickly stopped. Harvey could hear the sound of wings flapping coming from the room ahead.

"My my, that's quite interesting." Lynda says. "So you faked your death, became Azedarac, instilled new laws, and formed the Inquisition. I must admit, I am impressed. But...I'm confused as to how you became Azedarac. Were you not opposed by anyone who supported the original? Did nobody question you taking over? Did people not favor the old Azedarac? ...Did nobody know the difference?"

"You hear that flapping? Wings. Why doesn't it come out though? I don't suppose either of you speaks bird?" Harvey takes a few steps back just to be safe, watching the door and listening to the wings to hear if there's any correlation.

Azedarac scoffed loudly at Lynda's question. "I used magic of course," he answered. "Altering the nature of this curse is a tricky thing, but it can accomplish all sorts of things. I also rewrote the name of the Royals so that..." Azedarac stopped suddenly, and took a moment. "Stop this foolish questioning. We could be attacked at any second."

That second came quickly as the door ahead of Harvey swung open. A manticore covered in a flowing silver liquid flew out. Riding it was a rather hardy looking Kython.
"Stand behind us," the orc paladins told Harvey.
Spikes shot from the Manticore's tail towards the pair. One of the spikes dug deep into the shield of one of the orc paladins. The other orc took two spikes in the chest. After being hit in the chest, the orc paladin feel over. Black ooze burst violently from her eyes, nose, and mouth.

"Fair enough." Lynda says. "I'll admit, you put up with me for longer than what I expected. Most people tell me to bugger off after a couple of questions."

"Though of course he had to stop right at the good part..." Lynda thinks begrudgingly.

"Remember the plan!" Harvey cries, barely sure if either of them is alive as he runs as fast as he can back towards the party and then crying towards the party "It's not bugs! I think it's one of them kythons riding a silver... thing! NOT BUGS!" as his legs move faster than he thinks they can possibly move

The remaining orc paladin bent down next to her sister. She could tell right away that her sister was dead. The tears began to flow as she stood back up. In an instant, her cast a spell, causing glowing wings to shoot out from her back. She charged the manticore and it's rider. Harvey never saw what became of her as he rejoined the party in the room full of gold.

"Like clockwork." Lynda mutters.

"Hoo boy. What's our battle plan?" She says.
