The pitfiend grunted it's approval and then plunged it's hand into Kalar's chest. Kalar didn't wake up right away. He felt all of his insides being destroyed. It had been a long time sicne Kalar had felt almost anything and now he was feeling some fo the worst pain he had felt in his life.
Kalar awoke, smoldering and covered in ash. He could feel again, and it was terrible. A quick look in a nearby mirror presented Kalar with the first sight of his new horns.
The party shopped and planned. They also tried to get as much sleep as they could before the coming fight.
Everyone gains 10,000 xp.

"So much money..." Lynda thinks to herself. "I'd love to take it all back with me...but I can't. I need to arm myself. I need to fight. I've flaunted this whole adventure wearing dresses, living lavishly and seeking thrills...how I wanted to live my life. I guess it was nice while it lasted. My only regret will be dying without being useful..."

After Dan vanishes, Rob stares at the place where his father had been standing, and says "But I am worried about you. Something is wrong... I just don't know what."
Rob is about to collect his money, and follow the others shopping, but he stops suddenly, and casts Detect Scrying, to see exactly who might currently be listening and watching magically

Interesting. Kalar places his wooden mask back on again, and draws his hood over his new horns. He then heads out to supply himself with everything that he might need.
Before they head out though, Kalar will make sure to ask Dan a few questions:
- What sort of creatures were encountered in the tomb the previous time around?
- How long did it take the group to get through the tomb? Hours? Days? Weeks? (will affect whether or not rations need to be purchased)
- Were there any specific challenges of importance that come to mind?
- What sort of defenses were the most useful and which ones weren't worth anything?
- What are the capabilities of all the others who will be working to break the curse?
- Other than the gold, what sort of aid can be expected by the group?
- Which powers (factions, groups, whatever) are currently in play that are known of?

While inquirying about scrying Rob learned of the many magical defenses this town had. Besides a massive anti scrying enchantment, the town also prevented most types of teleportation.
Kalar was the first to meet back up with Dan. Dan was talking with a pair of half-orc females in brightly shiny plate armor. Their holy symbols to Kor suggest that they were paladins. "There two, and a few others will be accompanying us. I was the arcane spell casters would come, but they don't seem willing."
As Kalar asked his questions, Dan answered quickly but to the best of his ability.
"I don't think the tomb will be anything like the false image I encountered before. To answer what you were getting at, I believe we will be fighting bugs and devils.
The tomb I encountered was only a single large room, but I don't know what the actual one will be like.
As for the abilities of those joining us, I don't know whoa ll will be joining us yet, so I'm not sure how to answer that. I'm sure you will receive any magical enchantments available. I've arranged for a priest to prayer over us before we leave as well as a wizard." The orcs nodded in approaval as Dan mentioned the last part.

If Harvey has any spare time (He only has to sleep two hours a day from his ring of sustenance) he's going to investigate the party's books.. and check for traps/open whatever hasn't already been opened. Can't die without finding out what's in those beauties that everyone's so fascinated about.

Once he is done shopping, Kalar will lead his animals away, keeping them all tethered together and tied to Jim. He will then work on his tower shield, inscribing it with a powerful divine symbol of fear. Once done, he will purchase a cloth to drape over it and keep it hidden. He also takes his wand of necrotic cyst and infects all thirty of the goats that he purchased. He makes sure that the cyst is deep enough to not be readily visible unless one is looking for it.
Spell used: Symbol of Fear
Attuning it to not affect the party.

Not able to get much rest before possibly the biggest fight of their lives, the adventurers were up early. The sun had not yet begun to rise as some of the adventurer begun to make their way to the silver dragon's cavern. There, they found the pair of orc paladins had been joined by more than 3 dozen human soldiers. With them were also half a dozen people that looked like mages of sorts. A familiar nude dwarf was also there, though the bear he was with before was not currently present.

Rob strolls over to the orcs and the crowd of soldiers, and politely introduces himself. He addresses the orcs first, guessing they are the leaders of this miniature army.
"Hello, greetings to you all! My name is Rob Rottlerwits. Do I guess correctly that we will be working together in this upcoming fight?"

In the night, just after midnight and before meeting with everyone else, Kalar heads as far out from the town as possible. There, under the moon, he kills all of the mules he purchased. Taking the iron bands he bought, he fuses them to the remains of the mules, creating three more beings identical to Jim. He then kills the rabbits, animating all thirty of them as zombunnies, ready to do his bidding.
In the morning, he will meet with the rest. The four Jims and his horde of zombunnies will stay out of the way, so as to prevent any unwanted conflict. For now, he simply keeps out of the way, preparing himself by meditating and activating whatever magic he needs for the day.
Using the mask to hide alignment.
Spell used: Pact of return (Kalar expects to be killed by agents of the Nine Hells)

"Greet you," one of the orc paladin women said in a gruff voice. Common was clearly not her primary language. She seemed embarrassed and didn't speak anymore after her greeting was clearly met with a less than stellar reaction. The other orc woman did not speak at all but rather nodded almost frantically when Rob asked if they were going to be fighting together. They both turned to Harvey, as he introduced himself incorrectly on purpose, and bowed.
the soldiers were talking amoungst themselves. Most of their attention was towards the nude dwarf, until Kalar walked in. The cavern feel almost completely silent as Kalar's newest creations shambled in. The flapping and gurgling sounds generated as they simply walked was enough to make one of the younger soldiers violently ill. The dwarf was outraged. He looked ready to start casting a spell when Dan stepped in. "Wren, stay calm. I warned you about him, remember? It's only for today, ok?" Wren, the nude dwarf, gave a huff and spit in Kalar's general direction before storming off to a corner. The orc women seemed equally on edge, but made no move. The others seemed more impressed than anything. The idea of these hideous monsters fighting with them seemed to almost liven their spirits.

Lynda sighs and crosses her arms.
"In true Kalar fashion, he wouldn't be caught dead without his horde of crimes against nature." Lynda says. "But, we tolerate them, because after all, it's reassuring to know that those things are on our side and are going to fight for us."
"I may as well introduce myself too. I am Lynda Elanorandor." She announces to everyone. "I'm well known for my vanities and extravagances. I'm a common ranger playing the role of a noblewoman, and I must say, it's been fun. I'm also the one who hordes magical items, and I rely on them in combat. I look forward to facing the tomb with you all."
Lynda will approach Dan.
"So, whats the plan now?"
