As he waits for his unseen servant to complete its work, Kalar decides to catch up on some reading. But first, he attempts to get in touch with Hrulgin. He takes his holy symbol, focusing on it, and then releases the energy into the air, sending the message:

"At Perigon. Your status? If possible, rendezvous here. If not, remain near Moriamis. If permitted, seek sanctuary in library. Read all possible history and lore."

With that done, he takes the Fell Articles of Banor and starts to read it.

"Have escaped the dungeon. On my way to you," replied Hrulgin.

As the others back on the hill began to read, Rob and Harvey were busy following behind a band of masked men. They quickly learned that the men were heading out of town. Not in a direction that seemed to lead them anywhere. Not to a road, not to the hill; just out of town. Rob and Harvey found it increasingly hard to keep up as they follow while trying to stay hidden. Just as they thought they might lose them, they reached the edge of town. There, the group dashes off towards a nearby forest.

"I bet they know what's going to happen tomorrow.. should we follow them or go back?" Harvey whispers to Rob. Can Rob track these guys? He has a horse... that's gotta mean something, right?

"Yes, I'll keep following them as best I can." Says Rob. "If I figure out where they are going, or if they get away, I'll meet you back at out stake-out in town"

Rob followed at a far distance. The men, though masked, did not seem to be trying to hide their location as they traveled. The sun had begun to set as The group of masked men stopped in a clearing. Rob rode hundreds of feet away near a large bush for cover as he watched. Rob watched as Azedarac appeared. He had only seen him once before, in a previous life, but the silver hat was a clear sign of his identity that Rob could make out even form this far away. The men then began taking off their robs to reveal their inquisition uniforms. They all wore anti-magic amulets, marking them as high ranking within the inquisition. Rob was too far away to hear what was being discussed.

Harvey isn't sure if he's being left behind or why, but sneaks along anyway. No point in going back alone.. people get suspicious that way.

EDIT: Or I guess I already got left behind... Not sure what to do instead.

Harvey was rather annoyed when he caught up with Rob after Rob had rode off ahead of him. His annoyance was soon replaced with confusion when he saw Azedarac and the inquisition in the clearing Rob had pointed out to him.

Rob apologizes to Harvey in a whisper. "Sorry about that. I misunderstood your intent. Thought you were heading back.... but I am glad you are here! Look! Azedarc is here"

Harvey nods and slips closer, cautiously trying to get an ear in on what they're discussing. This is very dangerous business! Last time I snuck up on him, I had a city full of distractions.

EDIT: Assuming there's cover, that is. I'm not gonna just run out into the clearing or nothing.

This time leaving Rob behind, Harvey crept forward until he could hear the conversation.
"..and the man I killed the other day is still dead in my basement," one man said.
The voice of Azedarac came next, "I do sense a magical aura over the town. The meaning behind all of this has yet to reveal itself. The town should be avoided for now. The meteor will be coming soon and the kobold is sure to destory this whole area. However, scout around the area before leaving. If this IS an attempt to get the ring, we are all in danger."
Azedarac vanished in a puff of black smoke then. The Inquisitors quickly spread out and seemed to be searching the area around town. Two of them seemed to be heading towards the hill, another was heading straight at Harvey and Rob.

Harvey makes a subtle hand gesture towards Rob that hopefully will be read as "Go! Get out of here!" and then smooshes himself up against the tree, trying to keep it between him and the inquisitive inquisitor.

As he smooshes, he tries to think sneaky thoughts. Think like a tree.. think like a shadow.. think yourself right out of the picture..

Harvey is using his Chameleon psionic ability and gains +10 to Hide checks for the next 20 minutes at the expense of 1 power point.

Rachelle reflected on her past lives, and how they compared with her current one. Did she really want to die in the company of a twisted undead and a man who she felt would skin her alive had she run into him on less pleasant terms? And for what - to eventually release a curse that may or may not still keep this place in the middle of a hellish plane?

She turned to another, mundane book she had picked up earlier in her adventures, even if the fading light made it hard to read. As she did so, she made a pact to herself:

"I will leave this group the next chance I get."
