Lynda stomps her foot.
"Damn...I'm back to being just a pretty face with a bow and daggers." She says. "Hmph."

"Gssh, you can't kill Jehan," scoffed Dan. "I also don't think he'd have much direct information about the ring or the spell hiding it, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask that corpse, if it's still there when the time warp comes. As for clerics, I'm sure there are some. I'm not entirely sure though."

Harvey doesn't acknowledge Dan with a response, but smiles to know that he was right. Body double. Oldest trick in the world. And explains why he was so careless with his lack of back-up weapons to boot. Already lookin' forward to killing him again, he continues down the hill, towards a closer vantage point.

"Interesting. Well, let's head into town. We can at least get a feel for things. Friend, Rob, I would appreciate it if you gave a performance there or something similar, if only to distract people. We should head in one at a time to avoid suspicion, with Rob heading in first."
Kalar focuses on his mask, using its power to conceal his evil nature. He also uses the hat of disguise he borrowed from Lynda to conceal the fact that he is undead, instead taking on the appearance of a rather gaunt, but very much alive, individual. Should anyone ask, he will say that he is a healer, which is technically true.
In town, he will attempt to purchase as many wooden tankards as possible, buying out inns and taverns if he can. If any ask, he will (honestly) say that there is an event he must attend and needs all of the mugs that he can get his hands on. He will use their handles to string them all together on a rope and keep it in his pack.

"Yes, I'll take the protection spell." Rob says.
"I'll catch up with you!" He calls to the others

As the others began their track towards town, Dan stopped the creation of the arcane symbol on the ground he was working on and began chanting. The chanting faded into the countryside as the others approached the town. Kalar split off to hunt in Taverns and Inns. Harvey crept around town, trying to see what he could see. Rachelle and Lynda tried to come up with their own plan as they approached.
Back on the hill the party original arrived at, Dan finished his chanting and placed his hands on Rob. "It's done," Dan said. At first, nothing seemed different at all. Dan seemed relieved. "Oh good, nothing weird happened. The person's warped memories usually come flooding back..." Rob didn't hear the end of that sentence. He was back in the house he grew up in. Only, everything was different.
Rob was walking through the long hallway in his house. He was a young boy again. All the fancy vases and statues that he remembered lining the walls here were gone. The wooden walls were polished and the walls covered in a new coat of paint. The young Rob ran barefooted through the hall. As he turned a corner, he found himself lifted into the air. He was flying. He looked down to see that his father, Dan was carrying him. A huge grin crossed Dan's face.
Rob was then in a small music hall. He was a teen. He was performing for the first time in front of an audience. There were only a dozen or so in attendance. Right there in the middle fo the front row, next to his mother was Dan.
Rob was on the road leading north from Vyones. The large colossus was coming to attack the city he grew up in. He was going to fight it along with the other brave men in town. The colossus approached and Rob charged in. He had steady horseback combat with the best knights in Vyones and could joust with the best of them. That didn't help him as the colossus swung down with the mighty tree trunk it was wielding. A flash of red and a sharp sting followed. Rob remembered starring straight up for what seemed like hours. The sky was so beautiful that day. It began to get very dark then. Just as the light faded out completely, Rob saw Dan's face peering over him. Tears were flowing from his eyes. Then nothing.
Rob was in his favorite tavern planning for tomorrows attack. Nathaire was going to attack Vyones tomorrow with an amry of the undead led by a massive undead colossus. Dan was begging him not to go. Rob wouldn't hear him. It was his duty to defend the town and he was going to do it no matter what.
Rob was a teen again. Dan was explaining that a time warp had been effecting his memories. The time warps were going back less and less every time he said. He went on to explain that even though Rob was a teen now, he had been fully grown a number of times already. Dan had lost him before and hoped to prevent it from happening again. Rob had to promise not to fight the colossus when it attacked town.
Rob was on the battle field. A group of adventurers were fighting the colossus that was about to attack Vyones. They seemed to be doing a good job, but then the colossus began throwing boulders. Rob could see the boulder coming his way, but it was too big to avoid in time. That same flash of red and same sharp pain followed, and then nothing but darkness.
Rob was trapped in a magical force cage. Dan had said it was for his own good. It wasn't something Dan did often, but it had happened often enough that Rob had gone out of his way to avoid such a thing. He used the cape he painstakingly obtained to teleport out of the cage and ran off towards the battle he may have already been missing.
Rob was a young boy again. He saw Dan look back towards him with sorrow in his eyes. It was the last time he would see him for a very long time.
Rob's memories began over flowing then. He couldn't tell when one began and another ended. It was too much to take.
Back in reality, Rob had fallen to the ground. As his memories began to settle, Rob found himself looking straight up while flat on his back. The sky was so beautiful that day. Dan leaned over to look at him and asked, "Are you ok?"
Rob gains a level.
Rob gains +10 knowledge (local [Averoigne])
Rob gains the knowledge that he has lived for over a hundred years. (All the benefits of old age, none of the draw backs) [+3 to Int, Wis, and Cha]
Rob's memories are currently scattered.
(I will answer questions about this and add to your personal knowledge in meta chat)

Lynda's plan is to roam around town and check out the shops, and gossip with the locals about current events, rumors, and any other information she can find.

Harvey's going to continue to watch. How will Kalar and Lynda be received? Does it SEEM like a friendly place? Would... uggh... Percy Foolsgold be welcome there? Any dark ditches or something that might allow someone to slip into town unnoticed?

Rob drags himself into a sitting position, then stands, fighting back tears.
"Dad... I'm sorry! I had no idea! ... There is just so much... So many!"
Whether Dan is willing or not, Rob will try to embrace him in a hug.
Then Rob says, "It is going to take me some time to absorb this... And we are short on time... Or rather we have too much time, but the time is all in the wrong places..."
He will ride after the others.

The town seemed full of dark alley ways as Harvey approached. The construction of the cottages seemed to be largely random. It was a miracle that the main roads of the town didn't have cottages built right on top of them given their scattered locations. With a good level of stealth and cunning, someone could sneak right into the heart of the town without anyone seeing them. There were the slums of the town, Harvey came to understand.
The town seemed to be broken into four sections. There were the slums, which was the party of town nearest tot he party. There was also another part of town near the slums that seemed cleaner and more uniform than the slums but still rather shabby. The next part of town after that seemed to be a merchant quarter. Large signs and colorful banners could be seen even from the original hillside the party ported in from. The last section was towards the middle and encompassed the large black cathedral. Here, very plainand grey two story stone houses could be seen in abundance.

Slums, 'eh? Why didn't anybody say so? Harvey will continue sneaking closer, periodically pausing to get a look at the other party members and how their infiltration is going.

On his way through the slums, a man bumps into Lynda. "Sorry, my lady," he says as he slinks off. Shortly after, Lynda notices that her sacks of gold is gone. The man that bumped into her is no where to be seen, however it's at this point that Lynda notices many eyes upon her.
Kalar makes it to the market. There he begins buying dozens of wooden tankards. A man approaches him. "Hello me' Lord. You seem like a man who knows what he wants. Perhaps I can be of service. Jack Nadroj's me name. I can get you anything you need, for a price. Need drink, women, perhaps magical potions, or enchanted rings? I'm the man to see. So, what are you looking for, perhaps something to hold all those tankards?" Jack waves his hand towards another man on the somewhat crowded street. In no time, a small cart is produced and the man Jack called over begins trying his best to fill the cart with Kalar's Tankards.
Harvey spies around the edges of town. He quickly loses sight of Kalar, but does notice as Lynda is pickpocketed. The man rushes behind a corner and begins looking through the bag of coins. Many others notice too and Harvey watches as a small gang begins to stalk Lynda.
Rob joins Rachelle who has hung back from entering town for the time being. She has chosen to instead study the town from afar for now, much like Harvey.

"Sneaking through town isn't going to be easy. Nothing unsual escapes notice here. It is an Inquisition-controlled town, with an active underground, so everybody is watching everybody, for one reason or another."
"I feel like our 'dancing performers' routine that worked so well in other towns isn't going to fly here."
"I think I will go scout out close to the tower. I want to see if I can find an empty or abandoned building near to it. If I can find a good one, I can teleport you, and a few of Kalars nasty monsters into it, and we can stage our infiltration of the tower from there."
"I'll try to be back in about an hour"
Rob hopes that he can ride that far, find what he is looking for, and get back Rachelle in that amount of time.
Before he spurs Stumpy into motion he spends a few minutes changing from his entertainer's outfit to his travellers outfit,in the hopes of passing as a fast-riding messenger.
The travellers outfit smells better anyway. Whew! How long has it been since he washed that Entertainer's garb?

"My gold..." Lynda mutters. "It's...it's all gone...someone stole it..."
She looks around herself, distraught.
"Someone...has the nerve...to touch...MY stuff?" She says, on the verge of losing her mind. She starts to laugh.
"Keep calm...keep calm...don't lose your mind here...just get the hell out of here." She thinks.
"And if they follow, I'll murder every last one of them. Painfully and slowly."

"Hehehe, scummy kinda town" Harvey muses to himself watching the group of thieves around Lynda. "So thieving is pretty normal... guess we'll see what the policy is on murder."
His plan of action is simple. Slip in closer, and put an end to Mr Counting His Money in the alley with a single shot. With any luck, the thief will be hidden in the alley good enough that no one will see the body. Get the money back and maybe some new threads.. heheh. It's a good plan.
