"Indeed. Before the rest of you head into town though, I believe it best if we look around first. If we are to encounter this Jehan, I would rather do it away from town. Towns have too many buildings and places for him to hide, if we are to face him it's best we do it sooner."
Kalar turns to Lynda and says, "Lynda, my dear, if you could help with this. The two of us scouting around from the skies will be quicker than just one of us."
With that, Kalar will fly up, around fifty feet into the air. He focuses on his holy symbol, pushing divine energy into it. He then flies around the area, not too far from the party, and out of sight of any nearby towns. He keeps his eyes peeled for any sign of Jehan, while also using his divine powers to seek out the thoughts of any who may be in the area.
Spell used: Detect Thoughts

Kalar flew off. He seemed annoyed by the other's after their reaction to his greatest creation yet. Despite being miles away from the nearest settlement, Kalar insisted on scouting around just in case. The sun began to set as Kalar flew around looking for the slightest sign of humanoid life.
He finally detected someone after nearing the end of his ability to concentrate on his spell. There was one person below him, they seemed to be thinking of murder.
Both Jehan and Harvey watched as Kalar flew around. He seemed to be looking for something or someone, had they been discovered they both thought separately.

Kalar flies back to the rest and reports his findings.
"There's definitely someone out there, and relatively nearby. He seems rather intent on murder. We could keep going through the night, but if he hits us when half the party is tired from sleep deprivation, then that's hardly ideal. We can set up camp and rest, while I and one other person keeps watch. I can watch from the air, and the other from the ground."

"Indeed. And to be honest, it worries me. They sent a squad against us previously, and we were able to beat them back easily enough. For them to send a single man this time is certainly cause for concern. We had best be on our guard."

"So they can fly, huh? What'd that damned Jehan do to tip 'em off? What's he waiting for?! I could've killed all of 'em 3 times by now! He'll know they're onto him too.. and he might finally start watchin his slime. Time to be careful, Harvey boy." Bilchik takes time to steady his breathing and focus on the task at hand. Jehan'll get distracted with the others, and when he does you take the shot.
If he doesn't already have it, Harvey takes this opportunity to gain Psionic Focus.
Concentration: DC 20
Psionic Meditation Feat: Gaining Psionic Focus is a move action rather than a full action
Skill Mastery Rogue Ability (Concentration): Take 10 on a skill check even if stress and distractions would normally prevent her from doing so.

Jehan made his move then. He was already on the road when the party spotted him. Head turned down and arms outwide, he walked slowly towards the party. "So, you're waiting for me to arrive. Well here I am. No point in waiting till nightfall I suppose," Jehan said with a shrug and a smirk. He was already less than 60ft from the party and was continuing to approach. "You should have just handed over that amulet."

Kalar spots the man and takes out his holy symbol, bathing himself and the surrounding 60 feet in magical darkness.
"Enough of this."
Kalar focuses divine energy through his holy symbol, causing it to glow with deep infernal red the color of a blacksmith's furnace. He releases the energy, shooting it forward towards Jehan, causing a massive wall of molten magma to erupt near the assassin.
Spell Used: Wall of Magma (Sandstorm)
The spell allows curves and stuff, and is 5-ft. square/level, so if my calculations are correct, 45 feet long, 2 inches thick, and 5 feet tall. I can double the area by halving the thickness, so going with 90 feet long, an inch thick, and curved so the concave side is facing Jehan. Not attempting to trap him inside a circular wall, just making a curved wall that he can't get past, therefore he doesn't get a reflex save.
The wall radiates heat, all within 10 feet take 2d6 fire damage per round. All within 20 feet take 1d6 damage per round. Passing through the wall normally costs 4 squares of movement and deals 5d6+9 points of fire damage.
Hopefully, even if he's immune to magic because of the amulet, he'll still be affected by the spell because it's not exactly the spell doing the damage, but rather the heat generated by the wall.
Lasts for 9 minutes.

Kalar holds his holy symbol up, channeling divine power into it. Then he kneels and touches the ground, causing a dome of rock salt to form around the party. He leaves just the single entrance, so that he'll know where the attack is coming from.
He then whispers to Rob, "Rob, if the opportunity presents itself, take Rachelle and Stumpy and then teleport out. If he thinks all of us are in here, the three of you might be able to surprise him. But not just yet, we don't want to split up until we know his next move."
Spell used: Wall of Salt (Sandstorm)
Thickness is 1 inch per caster level (currently 9 inches). Halving it doubles the area. Going to halve it thrice (reducing to 2.25 inches), for a total area of 180 square feet. Spanning an area normally reduces the area by half (e.g. with a bridge because of the need for support via buttressing) but a dome is self-supporting by nature of its construction. The area covered should be equal to 36 squares.
