"Alright Kalar, I think we should find a safe area, land, and call it in for the night." Lynda says.

"Might be a good idea to set down to get some rest. Preferably in a tall tree somewhere. Wouldn't do to try finding a place to rest only when you get tired. Besides, come nightfall, you might not be able to see as well, and you don't want to be stumbling around looking for a safe place to rest."
With that, Kalar searches for a suitable place for Lynda to rest. As for himself, he'll stay in the air, watching for any threats, but still getting some rest, at least mentally, for himself.

While Voulton makes camp by felling trees all over the place, Rob digs in his bag of holding, and finds some rations that never made their way to the common stores in the wagon. He shares them around to Rachelle and Voulton, and then digs out first the half-full bottle of wine for himself, and another full bottle of wine for the others to split. He searches the immediate area for clean water for Stumpy. Allthough he has two more bottles of wine down in the pack somewhere, he knows better than to try and get a horse drunk.
After everyone is fed, Rob helps make a bed for them in whatever shelter Voulton has come up with. He has one bedroll, five extra suits of clothes, his cape of the mountebank, and his Rob's Standard, so hopefully there is enough fabric there to keep them all warm through the night.

Voulton's going to be sure to plant as many acorns and whatnot as he can after felling tree(s) enough to make a decent camp for the night. That big hole in the afterlife still kinda spooks him. Of course he left his tools back in the wagon, but the afterlife prepared him for the possibility of working without. Kinda handy, now that he thinks about. Voulton sure is grateful to something
I wasn't meanin to leave a wake of destruction behind me or nothing, I was just hoping to make an occasional BOOM! that the others might hear, and a tell-tale sign of lumberjacks to lead them the right way. Sorry if I was unclear, but it's no biggie

Kalar and Lynda spent the night in the largest tree they could find in the area. Lynda sat down and meditated while Kalar worked on a small magic item. Kalar found work hard in the tree. The limbs were thick, but setting anything down came with the risk of it rolling off and falling. Thankfully, he didn't lose any of his stuff.
Rachelle, Rob, and Voulton set up a rough camp. The night was cold and hard. At around midnight, Rob was alerted by Stumpy that something was prowling off in the trees nearby.

"Good boy" Rob whispers back to Stumpy, looking as carefully as he can in the direction his horse has indicated.
He prepares to cast Lullaby in that direction, hoping to make the prowler drowsy and inattentive.
"Don't worry your head, let your eyes drowse,
not one whit of attention should we arouse.
There's nothing to see here, nothing to eat,
We're not even here and so we shan't meet!"

"Those are some good instincts. Were I a weaker man, I'm sure I would have been subdued," came a voice from the woods. A tall man walked out of the shadows and stood under the starlight for Rob to see. "I had hoped to wait till day, but I suppose we can start now if you prefer," as he spoke, he floated up off the ground and readied a wicked spiked chain. "Of course, I would rather wait till morning. I don't suppose you'd simply go back to sleep?"
Rachelle and Voulton remained asleep as Rob considered the tall man.

"Perhaps we can start with introductions, pop open a bottle of wine, and discuss our respective situations" is what Rob says with his mouth, as he is emphatically thinking "Charm Person!" Rob doesn't believe for a second that someone wielding a spiked ball like that actually wants to sit down and talk.
Regardless of whether the spell succeeds or fails, Rob will then gently kick Voulton and Rachelle awake.

"I appreciate the offer, but I never except drinks from strangers," says the tall man. He then floats down on a tree limb roughly 10ft off the ground. He put his spiked chain away, and took a relaxed pose. "I'm glad to see you're somewhat reasonable. I'm not the type to take advantage a target at a disadvantage. Please, wake the others. I have a proposition they should be awake for." As the others woke up, Rob observed the tall man enough that he was completely sure that his spell didn't work."

"Rachelle! Voulton!" Rob calls as calmly as he can, while poking his companions vigorously. "Wake up, we have a visitor who wants a word with us."

"Visitor? What're you talkin about?" Voulton wakes up and tries to figure out what's going on.

Rachelle manages to rouse herself [this whole sleeping 8 hours thing isn't pleasant to someone who didn't technically sleep for over 100 years], and composes herself as quickly as she can.
"What's going on here?" she asks.

"Sorry to wake you," the tall man says from the tree limb he's standing on. "As I was telling this man here, I was hoping to do this in the morning. As I have been discovered, I suppose it can't be helped. This next part may alarm you, but try to stay calm. I have been sent here to bring in the ones in possession of the rogue amulet, dead or alive."

Voulton wipes the sleep out of his eyes, appreciating a man who just comes out and says what he means. He answers in kind. "Last I saw that pendant, its wearer was being swarmed by a few thousand bug.. things. No idea if she made it out or not. Would it have helped against bug things?"

"A ruse, yes, I expected as much. I can assure you I have detected the amulet on this lizardfolk here," says the tall man as he points towards Rachelle. "I don't blame you for lying, but it's useless."
The tall man floated a bit off the tree limb he was standing on. "Now, I'm not one to fight an unfair fight. Right now, I believe I have the upperhand. I don't believe any of you can fly, and unless you have hidden weapons my ability to fly might be too much for you three to handle. My cape not only bestows this flying ability to me, but also allows me to become completely invisible," the tall man says this as she fades away into an invisible state. He quickly becomes visible again and says, "That said, I would prefer a fair fight if you are up to it."
