Rob glances around, and does not immediately see any of the others, but the skeleton's behaviour has him on edge.

Then he notices it.

It is a sunny and beautiful day outside, but there are absolutely no birds singing. Not one chirp!

Rob sprints towards the camp. He doesn't care about following the skeleton anymore. Now that he knows which direction to go, he will try to overtake and pass it.

Kalar holds out his holy symbol, focusing divine energy into it. He then wills it forth, summoning up a wyvern zombie into the air to help in fighting off the flying uglies.

Stumpy saw the bug coming. He wasn't sure he'd be able to against the hideous flying devil, but he was going to do something. The flying enemy came right at Stumpy. Stumpy stood firm, but the bug dug it's needle like mouth into him just the same. Stumpy flailed at the bug in vain. The bug was too fast for him. Stumpy knew he could never defeat this monster, but he would die trying.
At least, Stumpy thought he would die trying. Soon after he was bitten, Voulton came rushing in and cleaved the bug in half in one swing. Voulton looked over at Stumpy's wound with brief concern, but never took his mind fully from battle. Voulton looked around for another target.
Kalar began summoning a zombie wyvern. As he did, he finally got a clear look at the flying bugs. They didn't look like the other creatures at all. Kalar recognized these things. They were Kocrachons. Diabolic devil insects known for their extreme love for torture.
Then Kalar's skull watch spell began to shriek. The approaching bugs stopped and looked at the shrieking skull. They began to shriek back at it. Rachelle was so close to the two sources of shrieking that she lost her ability to hear.
Rachelle, now deaf, looked around the corner at the shrieking bugs. She had removed the amulet and could feel the full power of her weapon once again. She knew she would soon need to use it. The large bug like creature looked very nasty. She hoped she was nastier.
Lynda finished off the creature she had hit before. She felt very proud of herself, at first. Then two of the Kocrachons struck at her. She felt the sharp pain as the first one dug into her. The pain caused her to lose focus and she slipped into her ghost-like state. The second bug also stabbed into her, despite her normal immunity to such attacks while in this state. Her wounds from the bites felt terrible, as if very tiny creatures where crawling around in them.
Rob rushed towards the battle. He watched as Kalar battled in the air with one of hideous bugs. The bug seemed to cast a spell, much to Rob and Kalar's surprise. The bug flew in and touched Kalar with keen dexterity. Healing light shot through Kalar. It caused him to lose his spell as well as causing a good deal of damage to his undead body.

Kalar curses at the pain. As Bill continues flying though, he faces the devilish bug and begins to communicate telepathically with it.

"I am Kalar Kess, servant and agent of the Archduke of the Second, Dispater. By right of conquest, I have claimed this fortress."

After that, he begins to project divine power into the communication.

"By that right and with those credentials, I demand parley to know who you are, who you serve, and by what right you intrude unprovoked."

Spell Used: Suggestion, DC 21 Will save negates.

As Bill needs to maintain a minimum speed, would he provoke an AoO as he continued flying? And if he's continuing flying, does that put Kalar out of reach of an AoO once he casts his spell?

"Damnit! We need to either take up positions in the fort or get out of here!" Voulton looks around for friends, hoping to regroup and stay alive longer. Stumpy is a major consideration. If he's tied up, Voulton will take the time to free him. "Go find Rob! I don't know what these things are, but they probably won't worry about a panicking horse till later. Tell him to think of a plan and make a signal when he does, I'll try to keep 'em off your back."

Voulton will stay true to his word, manuevering to help his other friends but defending against anything that might move towards Stumpy.

I don't know who Voulton can and can't see right now. If he can see Lynda and Rachelle, he'll move towards them and try to direct them towards Stumpy and Rob's perceived location. If Voulton can't see them, he'll head towards Kalar and if he can't see anybody, he'll just escort Stumpy for now, figuring the horse should be able to find his master. Not going out of his way to attack anyone just yet, unless they're directly threatening him or a party member. Regrouping is the #1 priority, and Voulton trusts Kalar to handle himself for the time being.

As soon as Rob sees Stumpy approaching, he will run towards him and jump astride his back.

He will ride where Stumpy directs him at full speed, rejoining Voulton and Rachelle. If they are not already keeping close together, he will call for them to do so. If anything gets in his way, he will ride-by-attack it.

Rob doesn't quite know what is going on yet, but he recognizes the danger, and is thinking of contingency plans.

If he and Stumpy stay close enough to Voulton and Rachelle, he can use his Cape of the Mountebank to allow them to all escape from a bad situation.

Kalar, flying on Bill, may have to fend for himself.

Rob still has no idea that Lynda has returned. He was in the ruins with Kalar, talking to Arden's ghost when she arrived back

"Gah!" Lynda shrieks. She looks and see's Voulton, Rob and Rachelle regrouping.

Lynda, now incorporeal, flies over to join them.

Rachelle has no desire to fight without the ability to hear what's going on, and begins to fall back. Her position would be useless against a flying creature, anyway.

She wonders why Kalar had a screaming skull alarm set up.

"You want to talk?" Kalar heard in his mind. The bug had stopped attacking and was simply following behind Kalar as he tried to slow Bill's flight in order to converse better. "If you want to discuss your claim on this area you will have to talk to Kzzzaterarax. I can take you to her. I doubt she will be open for discussion though. Otherwise, the will of Lord Baalzebul is all the reason we need. Is that all?" As the Kocrachon finished communicating, it seemed to get back in a fighting position, but hesitated.
Rob rejoined the others. Rachelle retreated and was also able to regroup. Some simple plans were thrown back and forth. As they were, the three spotted Lynda in the air flying their way with two big bugs flying after her. As they got close, Voulton cleaved through one. The other quickly stopped in it's tracks and retreated at the sight.
The large bug guy, with four arms, along with it's band of small dog sizes critters, all stopped to stare at the screaming skull. The adventurers all saw the large hideous thing then. It turned towards them and made a series of clicks that they thought might have been speech.
As Kalar conversed with the bug in the air, he noticed a good sized group of other bug guys making their way towards the camp from the south.

Voulton brandishes his axe and slowly backs up. "I guess it's like bees.. they seem as afraid of us as we are of them."

EDIT:

"Let's make a break for it. Grab whatever useful stuff we can, get it on the wagon, and we get the hell out of here."

Kalar continues his telepathic communication:

"Very well, if that is how it is to be. If you allow us to leave, you have all claim to this place without any further loss. Should you not though, we will fight, and the resources you deplete will be terrible. This parley is over."

Kalar orders Bill to descend as fast as he can, heading for the others so that they can regroup.

He shouts out, "The silver stones I gave you! Use them! We're getting out of here! Voulton, grab the chest in the wagon!"

Rachelle, still unable to hear, keeps her quarterstaff up. What's going on right now? Did kalar do something to stop the bugs' advance?

Before they knew it, Rachelle and Voulton had reappeared in a completely different place. There were no bug creatures around. The camp was gone and so was the wagon. Rob rode on top of Stumpy next to them, bent down with a hand on each of their shoulders. He gave a nod towards his cape, to say he teleported them away. Right before he teleported away, Rob swore he saw Lynda at camp. Things were chaotic though, and Lynda was always a bit hard too see. Perhaps he was just wishing he saw her.
Voulton looked down at the chest he grabbed a hold of out of the wagon at the last second. He wasn't sure of all that was in it, but hoped it was important.

Meanwhile, Kalar received another jolt of divine energy from the flying devil that was chasing him. He had looked over towards the others to try to plan an escape, but they had teleported away without him.

Lynda went to gather things along with Voulton and was shocked as she found herself alone in an instant. The bug like creatures rounded the corner and stared down at her. A Large beast, a flying devil, and half a dozen dog sized bugs all readied themselves to pounce on her.
