Encouraged by Rottlerwits' song, Voulton rallies himself. What's the worst that can happen? You'd just fall down again. You lived through it once, you'll live through it again. This new eye doesn't feel quite right anyway.

Voulton bravely approaches the rope and... "Oh jeez, that's narrow..."

"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!! WHAT'S GOING ON OVER THERE? YOUR SKELETONS LOOK REALLY ANGRY ABOUT SOMETHING! LET US KNOW SOON OR WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO CLIMB OVER!"

He looks across the chasm wondering what's going on on the other side... and hoping he won't have to go across there.

EDIT: And he helps hold the rope for Rachelle, of course.

Rachelle carefully crossed over using the rope Kalar secured. Voulton helped hole the rope study as she made her way towards Bill. When she got there she looked into the room and saw a looming mummy. The mummy was directing Kalar's skeletons to attack Kalar. They obeyed. They would not able to get past Kalar's armor, but they stood ready to continue attacking. The mummy turned it's attention towards Rachelle.
At the sight of the mummy, Rachelle got a terrible feeling. She had almost died many times during this journey. She had actually died once. She could feel it coming again. She felt like she knew this was going to be the end. Rachelle was paralyzed with fear.

"Well?! What do you see over there? What's going on?" Voulton sighs. He's pretty sure he's gonna have to follow after if he doesn't get a response. But that doesn't mean he has to like it.

The amulet kicked in then. Rachelle still felt afraid but the magical paralyzing affect was unable to fully grip her due tot he anti-magic effect of the amulet.
Kalar was deep inside his own head. Visions of a thousand years of life floated around in his head. The mummy's suggestive powers were enthralling. Then, in the back of Kalar's mind, a vision of his god popped up. His god looked very displeased. Kalar could feel his silvery skin contract and tighten. However, Kalar remained in a state of awe for the time being. Rachelle and Kalar watched as the mummy started preparing a spell.

As Rob sang, Rachelle hurried across the rope, and Voulton moved to do the same, and Rob suddenly found himself standing alone surrounded by Skeletons that didn't seem so non-threatening as they had a few minutes before.

Rob casts Summon Monster III and calls a celestial hippogriff.

He will direct it to fly under the rope so it can catch Voulton or himself as they cross.

"There's a mummy in here!" Rachelle replies, slamming it with her quarterstaff. If she could just get it to fall into the spike pit...

Rachelle attacked. Her instincts that had been telling her to panic and possibly flee, had switched quickly into anger. Her barbarian training kicked in and she attacked the monster in front of her with all her might. It seemed to hurt the mummy. Ancient wrappings tore away and aged flesh crumpled away as Rachelle slammed her weapon into the mummy. It took the hit stoically, and continued it's spell. Rachelle missed with her second attack.
Being momentarily panicked, Rachelle didn't respond to Voulton's call in time to stop him from beginning his attempt to cross the pit. As he crossed, the skeletons attacked Kalar. One of them managed to land a hit on the armored undead cleric. It was a small hit, may have marked the beginning of more to come.
Voulton slipped. As he tried to get onto the tile on the other side, his hand slipped causing him to go swinging back to the rope. Rob's hippogryph had appeared direction below him but did not need to catch Voulton. Voulton caught his breath as he hung from the rope.
The mummy stepped closer towards Kalar as it completed his spell. As he did, a large beetle appeared near Rachelle.

Kalar takes 4 dmg

Rachelle deals 17 dmg

Rachelle, seeing the beetle appear, smashes the skeleton that had wandered in front of her, and cleaves the newly-appeared bug.

She hopes the others will come to her aid momentarily; Kalar's survival was less important than her own at this point.

Voulton does his best to clamber back up the side and into the fight, making a mental note to find a different way back out. Oooh these ropes are treacherous

If Voulton makes it up safely, leaving the rope clear then Rob will cross the rope with the hippogriff spotting for him in case he slips.

If Voulton can't get up safely, Rob will sing Inspire Competence to help him.

Rachelle's quarterstaff smashed through the skeleton and slammed into the summoned scarab. The skeleton was destroyed instantly. The scarab has tougher than that, it was damaged by the hit but was still able to attack back. It slashed it's pincers into Rachelle's leg, tearing deep into her flesh.
Voulton clambered off the rope and past the hulking zombie manticore. Bill has been standing in the way of Voulton's exit and made getting off the rope that much harder. Voulton entered the mummies tomb to see a skeleton attacking Kalar and a scarab attacking Rachelle. He slashed through the skeleton but over reached with his attack on the scarab. He missed so badly that he ended up dropping his axe.
The mummy, meanwhile, was casting a spell on itself. It channeled it's divine power into itself. It seemed to get a good deal bigger and stronger after the casting was done.
Rob took his turn on the rope then. He did a much better job of crossing than Voulton bt also found himself blocked by the bulk that was Bill's body. He tumbled into the tomb to get by and found himself in the middle of the battle.
Meanwhile, Kalar's silver skin had tighten up to the point of tearing. He began to feel an intense pain all over his body. The pain snapped him out of the mummy's influence and he found himself back in his normal state of mind.

Rachelle deals 24 dmg
Rachelle takes 19 dmg

Biting through the pain, Rachelle slammed down on the scarab once again. Maybe she should be concerned with the now-larger mummy in the corner at this point?

"Damnable creature! You dare use your powers on me!? An agent of the divine!? Feel my wrath!"

Kalar holds up his holy symbol and sends his last blast of pure sound into the mummy.

Spell used: Sound lance, strikes unerringly 9d6 damage

As Rob is calling to the Celestial Hippogriff, directing it to Smite Evil against the Mummy, he sees the axe fumbled out from Voulton's hand. He is about to reach and help recover it, when he spies the impressive-looking axe that was already in the room. He grabs that instead, and shoves the handle towards Voulton's hands.

Voulton accepts the new axe with a grateful nod towards Rob. Hoping to put it to good use, he aims his first barrage for the scarab.
