As the skeletons enter the room, they slowly stop moving. They lay down on the ground and ignore Kalar's orders.

"Well, that is... concerning."
Kalar retrieves one of his wands from his pack and uses it to Detect Magic from outside of the room.

Kalar detects a strong aura of necromancy coming from the whole room.

Kalar lowers his wand and tells the others, "The room reeks of necromancy. And powerful necromancy at that. This is most certainly Nathaire's lair. However, my skeletons seemed to be affected by something in that room. I would rather not risk entering myself, as it is conceivable that something there might potentially affect me or, at worst, take control of me. One of you will have to enter the room to scout things out. If it comes down to it though, I can perform a spell that will cut this room off from Levistus, but I would rather not do so just yet, as such an action might very well be seen as a declaration of war. We are eventually going to have to go against Levistus' agents, but I would prefer to not anger him just yet."

Rob claps his palms together "Let's do some tests first!" he says.
"Let's find a rope. I don't have one, do any of you? I can run back to the wagon if not."
"We can tie a loop with it, and try to snag one of those two skeletons with it and drag them out. Shouldn't be too hard with all those bones sticking out."
"Once we have one out, we will see if it re-animates on its own, or if it stays 'asleep'"

"No, no rope on me unfortunately. But that is a good idea. I'll send one of my skeletons back for rope."
Kalar does just that.

Voulton, Rachelle, Rob and Kalar waited around while the skeleton ran to get the rope. Nothing really happened in the time it took to retrieve the rope. It was a pretty boring couple of minutes. Finally, the skeleton came back and handed Kalar the rope he asked for.

Kalar hands the rope to Rob to allow him to enact his plan.

Rachelle draws her weapon, just in case the skeleton starts attacking them once it gets pulled back out.
...although at this point she could probably just punch one into inanimateness. Still, better safe than sorry.
At this point, she also remembers that she's been carrying around some rope in her own bag for a while. It's silk rope, though, which probably deserves a better use than hauling out skeletons.

"Thanks" says Rob to Kalar as he takes the rope.
He ties a simple loop at one end of the rope, and attempts to toss it over any of the protruding bones of either skeleton.
If he is unable to snag a skeleton in 3 tries, he will cast Mage Hand and attempt to use it to tie the rope to a skeleton.

After some failed attempts at fancy rope tricks, Rob magically guides the rope onto a skeleton. Dragging it out of the room does seem release the effect placed upon it. Rob continues to use the rope to retrieve each of the skeletons. It's not long before all of Kalar's minions are back to working order.

Rachelle puts down her weapon, eying the reanimated skeletons as she does so.
She then asks for the rope.
"I want to try going in myself. Seeing as I'm not undead, I should be fine, but if I do start feeling funny I'll run back out. The rope is in case I'm unable to do that," she says, tying the rope around herself.

Voulton nods and takes hold of the rope, to drag her out if things go wrong.

"Good luck. We'll be ready to respond if anything attacks. Be on the lookout for anything that looks magical, it's possible that he's tied the effect to some sort of artifact or relic in the room."

Rachelle finishes securing the rope around herself and enters the room. Nothing seems abnormal. She doesn't feel any magical effects and doesn't see anything out of the ordinary.
