"Indeed. Hopefully, we won't have to contend with another one any time soon. And if Nathaire had those under his control here, it might be useful to see if he left behind any texts that might detail their creation. I would certainly be amenable to having a couple of those under my control.

"Right, as soon as we have everyone healed up, let's head on out. I will have Bill take point. The rest of us can follow behind. Be ready for anything."

The group investigated the sound to find a scorch mark on the ground that was very likely caused by an acidic explosion. They continued towards the room they found the bloodhulks in and investigated the stairs. They lead up and light could be seen coming from the top.

"I will take point so that I can check for traps. But be careful though, if there is some sort of necromancer still here, he might be more powerful than I am. And if he takes control of me, do everything in your power to destroy either me or the necromancer as quickly as possible."

Kalar does as he says, and manifests his sword. He leads the way, searching for traps as he goes. Bill follows close behind.

Voulton sticks behind Kalar. Sasha and Lampnoodle can attest to how quickly he can take out a threat. But voulton would definitely rather take out the necromancer than Kalar.

The group goes up the stairs, finding themselves in the far northern tower without running into traps along the way. They look over at the wagon as they open the flimsy door.

Rachelle, lounging around the wagon, senses some movement in the far distance, but thinks nothing more of it. She goes back to the pile of books [were they still around?], and pokes around them; maybe one of them will hold the secrets to becoming not quite as squishy.

"Well, that was certainly anticlimactic. Let me see what I can find."

Kalar uses his sword, focusing first on the image of onyxes, then one of a ring, then scepters, and lastly scrolls. They are specific kinds of items, but still rather general, and Kalar hopes the sword will be able to pick something up. At the very least, it might point them in the right direction.

The sword sends Kalar the location of items already held by the party.

"It seems that might be it. It's there anywhere we haven't searched yet? There must be more, we have yet to discover how those bodies got here."

"Indeed. I'll take point to scout for traps."

Kalar leads the way, using his sword to make sure there are now traps. He remain vigilant though, ready to put his shield between himself and anything that might attack. He also keeps an eye out for any dead bodies that he might be able to animate.

Kalar leads the way towards the room between 9 and 15

It seemed like forever before Kalar, Rob, and Voulton arrived at the unexplored room. The doors seemed flimsy and a quick inspection showed them to be unlocked. Kalar's sword assured them there were no traps at the door. This quickly changed as the door was opened. The sword told Kalar that there were several traps in the room as the group looked around without entering. The main focus of the room was an alchemical lab table. Many flasks and glass tubes sat on top of the table. The table itself sat in the very middle of the room, with little nearby. In the corner of the room a decent sized chest sat in a shelf built into the wall. Lastly, a cage stood in another corner of the room. Electricity arched between the bars of the cage, filling the room with a low hum. The cage consisted of two iron bar walls built into the stone walls from floor to ceiling. A small four foot tall door was built into the bars of one of the electrified walls. The door also had electricity arching over it. Inside the cage, only drapes covering the stone walls can be seen. The drapes are plain purple.

Voulton simply stares at the on-going spectacle, not sure what to make of any of it.

"Be careful, there are many traps in this room according to my sword. Let me have a look first."

Kalar enters the room, but makes sure to use the sword to check everything before touching anything. He also attempts to use the sword to identify what the different flasks are. Who knows? There might be something of use there.
