Shaken, Kalar takes a deep breath, steadying himself.
He turns around from the door and takes a good look at their surroundings.

The party stands on a silver stoned pathway. A thick forest sits just off the path. Above, the party can see that they are in fact not outside. A large dome sits above them at what must be 100 feet. The 10 foot wide path wanders through the forest ahead of them. The forest is so thick that the party can only see about 15 feet in until their view is blocked. The path turns ahead making visibility further down the path impossible.

"An indoor forest. Classy. Right, Lynda, you're on point. You're an outdoorsy type, it's up to you to get us through this. Keep your eyes open, we don't know what could be lurking around here."

"Right. A forest...there may be vermin lurking." Lynda muses to herself aloud.
"Indeed, I guess I will take the lead."
She leads the path down the stone path cautiously, ready to attack whatever might pop out of the woods, or in front of them for that matter.

Kalar will follow her, aware that his diplomacy skills will be of little use here. He beckons to Silas and Galse to follow, keeping to the marching order he outlined earlier.

Lynda leads the party down the path in the order they had discussed earlier. The path turns and bends as the party marches forward. The group of trees ahead must be the biggest in the dome. Their branches look like the come close tot he top.
(Lynda, Kalar & Galse spot check)
It looked like something moved in the tree up ahead.

"Hold up." Lynda says. She readies her bow.
"Something in that tree is moving."
She slowly proceeds with caution.

Kalar looks over towards where he spotted movement and tries to make out what it was. Being out of his normal area of expertise though, he has a hard time making anything out.
"Let's just keep moving. Probably not a good idea to go charging off after everything that moves. Let's just be ready in case anything goes charging off after us."

The moving stops. The party decides to keep going.
A large tree limb slams down near them. Then it rears back up. Another slam comes form the other side, nearly missing Silas.
The tree limbs wiggle a bit and appear to be more like tentacles then limbs.
The trees the tentacles are attached to both gape open. Their maws are the size of a halfling.

Thinking quickly, and realizing that there's no room to escape just yet (though he'll certainly consider it once the opportunity presents itself), Kalar reaches into his pack to retrieve his last flask of alchemists' fire. They're trees, so they must be afraid of fire.
He readies the flask, and chucks it at the closest tree. With luck, the fire will spread and provide enough of a distraction to allow them to get out of there.

Lynda follows Kalar's lead in hoping that the fire will create enough distraction from them to escape.

The fire erupts. The tree it's near begins patting it out and ignores the party.
The other tree continues it's assault as the party flees. It's limb flies at Lynda. It tries to snatch her leg but Lynda slips away from it as she runs. Out of the tree's reach, the tree flails hopelessly at the party, unable to reach them. Eventually, it stops and go back to acting like a tree.

Now that we're safely out of range, Galse is going to pause for a moment to examine the tree, the tentacles, etc. and get a feel for what we want to avoid in the future.

Galse takes notice that the two trees are a different color than any other tree in the forest he can see. They also don't have a single leaf on them but rather green patches of moss. He feels he should be able to notice similiar trees int he future.
The party continues ahead. Not very far away, they all hear a rustle in the bushes off to the side of the path, as if a large creature were stirring about 20ft into the forest. No one is able to see what caused the noise.

Kalar stops and readies his shield and war pick. He has no desire to be attacked by trees again.
