"Two keys, huh? I wonder if the other members know about this..."

She goes back to where he party members are.

"So, we need to figure out our next move." She says to them.

"There's a room with a bunch of cat humanoids. We could try diplomacy with them, but after having a rock thrown towards my face by them, I kind of doubt it."

"There is also a door at the end of the hall, with two locks. Perhaps the keys are around here, or maybe you have picked them up."

"Those are just some options I investigated. I haven't been with you long, so perhaps you would have a better knowledge of what can be investigated."

"So...what now?"

The roar from before grows louder.

Lynda shudders.

"That...that's the cat people. Diplomacy is definitely not an option now...
I really hope you have those keys, because I'm starting to think we shouldn't stick around here for too long..."

"Blast it..."

Kalar ponders the situation for a few moments, trying to come up with some sort of plan that will leave most of them alive.

"Ok, this is what we'll do. Silas and Galse will head towards the door."

He hands Galse the key he picked up from Ardan's corpse.

"Try this in one of the keyholes. Use the key you got from the safe in the other keyhole. I'll spread a bunch of caltrops in front of their door to slow them down."

Kalar draw his war pick from the loop in his belt.

"Lynda, you'll stay beside me. We'll give Galse enough time to get the door open, then we'll make a break through the door, and then lock it from the other side. I presume you can fight with other weapons aside from that bow? If you don't have a weapon, break a leg off one of these tables or chairs and use it as a club for when they get close."

"Before they get too close though, I'll try to keep them back as well as I'm able, while I'm doing that, fill them full of arrows. Remember, as soon as the doors are open, we get through them and lock the door."

And the party went off into action. Silas and Galse didn't seem overly concerned about the situation. They took their time getting over tot he door.

Kalar and Lynda went over to the door to the cat people's room to prepare for battle. The roars grew louder. Kalar spread caltrops and Lynda got her bow ready. At this point the roars grew to a peak and were now a continuous drone.
Then the roars stopped.

(Lynda Listen Check)
Lynda hears what sounds like a secret door opening coming from the ogre lady's bedroom.

"Lynda! Go! Help Galse with the door, the sooner we get that open and to the other side, the sooner we'll be able to get out of here!"

The roars ceased...

Lynda heard the door.

"Kalar, watch out! The secret door! Behind us!" Lynda shouted hastily.

"Ah, crud..."

Kalar thinks things over. Right now, Lynda doesn't have a weapon for close combat. Galse is carrying the food and doesn't seem like he would do too well in the thick of battle. Silas is... well, he's Silas.

With no other option, he says, "Go! I'll hold them off as long as I can, but you had better have that door open as soon as possible or I swear to all the gods, devils, and demons I will come back to haunt your sorry behinds!"

"Damnit, Kalar!" Lynda shrieks at him. "You're insane! But, if this is what you want, then so be it!"

She runs off to assist Galse with the lock.

As Lynda calls to KAlar, Kalar looks through the open door into the lady ogre's room. There he sees it. Nearly 8 feet tall and covered in muscles, stands a cat man. Unlike the other cat people, this cat man has a large mane. A jeweled golden crown rests atop his head. He wears golden plate mail. It looks Kalar's way and snarls.

Galse puts the keys into the door and the door begins to open. It seems to lead outside.

Lynda scrambles to open the door. As she opens it, she turns to see the massive lion facing Kalar.

As she hurries through the door, she screams "Run, Kalar, RUN!"

Kalar's eyes open at the sight of the lion-man, and starts making his way backwards as quickly as he can, keeping his eyes on the creature as long as possible. A few feet from the door, he turns and dashes through, kicking the doors shut as he makes it to the other side.

"Lock it! Lock it now!"

Lynda, at Kalar's command, intensely tries to lock the door.

The door closes and a flash of light is emitted from the edges of the door. It becomes instantly clear that there are no keyholes or knobs on this side of the door.

With that behind them, Lynda decides to investigate their new area.
