Everyone seems bound now. Hrulgin decides to shadow them, keeping behind everyone. There's bound to be at least one person in the back once they all get underway. He'll make his move then.

Kalar mentally commands his skeletons to follow the wagon, keeping up with it in the woods and out of sight. He hopes Hrulgin will know not to attack now, but to instead wait for nightfall.
In the meantime, he decides to try to gather information. "So, sir inquisitor. Seeing as how you were tasked with our arrest, I presume you already know our names. It would seem only common courtesy, especially in light of the courtesy you've already shown us, to give us your name as well.
"Further, what is this city Ximes like? And Azedarc? All I know is that he is the archbishop, but we know nothing about the man. Also, what will the trial be like?"

Voulton hopes they haven't made a mistake, but takes it as a pretty good sign that they're in a wagon and weren't executed on the spot. He's a little disappointed that he's tied up with the rest, 'casue if they had made 'em march he was gonna get up near someone and whisper that they aren't on a mission from Azedarc and that he doesn't know what these dudes deal is.
Curious about their fate and following Kalar's questions, he throws in one of his own: "Why are we going all the way to Ximes? I thought Vyones was the capital. Wouldn't it be more expedient to be tried there, in the presence of the Archbishop?"

The horses had all begun to turn around as the party asked their questions. "You'll learn all about Ximes soon enough," said the man in the hat. He shot a stern look at Voulton after Voulton as his question about Vyone's archbishop. His tone as he continued told the party that he was choosing to ignorre the question. "Though, I suppose it's a long trip. It would be made even longer if we were to follow this wild goose chase you've all made up."
The man in the hat turned to the other inquisitors then, "Just head north, away from Ximes, you say? Right into a sorcerer ambush, I'm sure."
It was clear that the Inquisitors had no intention of keeping their agreement about hunting down Nathaire then. They had turned around and now, as far as the party could tell, they were heading straight for Ximes.
Rob, Rachelle, and Lynda overheard them as they spoke about a path across a nearby farm they would use to avoid Vyones along the road. Being confronted on the open road instead of in town seemed to make more sense to them then.
Hrulgin, along with the skeletons, were having a hard time keeping up. The horses weren't at full gallop but their speed was still much faster than the undead could handle while in the woods. His perfect chance to attack never came but he considered doing it anyways, before he was left behind.
Rob struggled with his shackle, he knew the danger they were all in.

Oh, now that ain't no way for a good lawman to act. "You're going the wrong way! Not helping against the colossus is one thing, but letting a dangerous wizard get away is another! These guys may've bent your laws a little, but they did it to save the city! They never raised a 100 foot monster to do their bidding! Let's get the REAL bad guy here!"
Voulton starts fussing with his ropes, testing their limits. He's starting to get the feeling he was wrong about these guys. DAMN, it hurts to be wrong. What was it Dad always used to say about being wrong...

"Break the rope, Stumpy!" Rob commands when he sees Voulton and Kalar start to resist.
"YAY!" Says Stumpy.
if successful, he will ride full speed out of arrow range, cast Summon Monster III, tell the celestial hippogriff to bite the rope, then draw his rapier and ride back into the fray (Infliction if they didn't take it, glockenspiel if it is all he has left

Kalar is alarmed by Robert's sudden movement. He had hoped to free both himself and Voulton quietly before any actions were taken. Still, at the very least, this should provide a distraction as the others will focus on Robert while he gets himself and Voulton free.
He starts cutting faster.
Also, to be on the safe side, he begins channeling divine energy into his holy symbol, preparing to unleash it on the inquisitor driving the wagon.
Once free, Kalar will pass the knife to Voulton. He will then Command the driver to fall (DC: 17 Will) and then he'll take the reins while Voulton is freeing himself.

"I'm more inclined to believe that one of you is Nathaire, magically disguised..." said the hatted man. He stopped mid-sentence as he watched Rob.
Rob had seen the mostly clear field to the south as the best chance of a path way to escape as he had seen since this whole thing started. He quickly unleashed himself and rode off. "After him!" cried the lead inquisitor with the hat. Rod was followed closely by three of the inquisitors, one of which was the man with the large sword and amulet.
The only archer in the group, and other amulet wearer, didn't ready his bow and seemed to simply keep a close eye on the others. The rest of the inquisitors kept in tight formation. Some of them drew their swords from under their cloaks. They seemed like common swords, likely not magical in any way.
The man in the hat advanced to the head of the line and halted the rider's progress with a raised, closed fist.
Rob struggled against the metal shackle and found that his specially made saddle was the wrong size for the shackle, allowing it to slip off of the pommel. The shackle was heavy though, and Rob would have a bit of trouble drawing his weapon and nowhad second thoughts about casting a spell under these conditions. He began summoning anyways. As the three inquisitors chased Rob, they soon noticed a group of Kalar's skeletons hiding behind a tree.
Kalar struggled to cut the thick rope with his bound hands. He managed to cut a few of the ropes, but the way the rope was tied, even with a few cut ropes his hands remained bound. Kalar continued to free himself.

"HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN A REAL SORCEROR?! If one of us were Nathaire, we wouldn't be tied up in the back of your wagon! The man raised a city destroying colossus and you think a handful of horsemen are going to give him pause? I'm telling you, he's heading north and you're making a mistake! It's not too late for us to get some guards from Vyones and give pursuit!"
Voulton continues struggling with his ropes. He doesn't want to hurt these guys (even though they're sliming retarded), but they're letting a VERY dangerous threat get away and giving chase is the right thing to do.

"Why can't you use those amulets you have there to nullify the magic on each of us, and thus expose any magical disguises we might be wearing?" Rachelle asked, feebly shaking her shackles as she did so. The ropes Kalar and Voulton were struggling with seemed like they would be a bit easier to deal with than what she had here.
...she was beginning to get the impression that these inquisitors weren't quite so intent on making sure they actually survived at this point.

"We can't remove these!" said the man in the hat. As he did, he paused then shot a look at Lynda. At that very moment, Lynda took off her amulet. A few horse reared as a soft burst of ethereal energy escaped Lynda's incorporeal form. A flick of her wrist shattered the shackle and sent visible shivers down the spines of many of the inquisitors. Lynda imagined how much she'd spook them with her next trick as she took out her dog gem.
Kalar snapped his bindings and tossed the dagger towards Voulton. Kalar began casting a spell. Both Voulton and Rachelle saw Lynda's and Kalar's actions as the likely end of diplomacy.
Rob's celestial hippogriff appeared and further disheartened his pursuers. Instead of chasing down a single man, they now faced a large monster, four skeletons and that same man who seemed to have stopped running.
Lynda's Dog appeared and awaited orders. Every inquisitor had their swords out at this point. The only ones that had not drawn a weapon were the man with the bow and arrow and the man in the hat. The many men with swords seemed to gain much of their courage back as they looked to their leaders. They looked ready to attack. Kalar's command spell shot out at the driver and seemed to take effect as he drove the horse's forward. Voulton, not expecting the sudden charge, slumped over in the wagon. Rachelle, horse still hitched to the wagon, almost fell off her saddle as the wagon drive forward. Lynda was not so lucky and tumbled to the ground. Some of the inquisitor's horse were pushed aside as the wagon plowed through. The wagon's movement was slowed considerably due to the mounted men in the way.
