Voulton follows the sound to the best of his ability. "Let's let 'em go. If their boss knows anything, he'll find us. Chasing them will just make them even less likely to help and burning bridges before you know where they lead is a bad idea." That's what the old priest always said, anyway. "Maybe we'll have more luck in the city, and the trip will give you time to fill me in on the parts I've obviously missed."

"Good enough a plan as any for now."

While waiting for the mist to clear, Kalar makes a point of ignoring Rachelle. Instead, he fills Voulton in on all of the details from the castle, leaving nothing out regarding the curse.

"And lastly, it would seem that we're going to be up against one of the greater lords of hell. I learned that it was one of them that caused the curse to come into being after this King Stephen fellow died. So we need to find those items and figure out how to use them to break this curse."

"What's one of the Lords of Hell got to do with King Steven? And what's the castle, the curse, any of it have to do with this place? More importantly, what do we have to do with any of it? Why does it let people in and not let 'em back out?"

"We did find a summoning circle in the castle. Perhaps it was a deal with a devil that went wrong. We suspect that this place is trapped, perhaps in time. I don't know the specifics. Perhaps King Stephen made a deal with one of the Hells to secure his crown? Your guess is as good as mine. As for the castle and this place, I'm not sure, but I suspect that perhaps this land was once ruled from the castle. It would make sense, but I have no evidence for that thus far."

Kalar holds up his hand, claws extended. "As for us, personally I want to get rid of this. I also want to get back home, as I am sure many of you do. If we are to have any chance of doing that, we need to break this curse. I would much rather not die doing it, but it seems that there is no other feasible choice."

The mist clears and the party ties up the other robed man. He seems to have taken a big dose of the poison this time and it will likely be hours before he wakes according to Hrulgin. The horses all seem awake again. The party discusses whether they should stay here to rest or if they should move somewhere a away from what just took place.

"Let's move away a short distance before we camp." Suggests Tammytharn

"I noticed those men were not actually very competent spellcasters. Yes, they had a little ability, but not much. I think they were a smaller and less powerful group than they wanted us to believe. I think that might have been the whole lot of them. Maybe their leader was just one of the guys who fled."

"Also, I admit I made a mistake in casting Zone of Truth so quickly. I should have waited. That interrogation might have gone better without it."

The group moves about a mile away before setting up camp. The covered wagon provides a lot of comfort around camp. But taking care of the horses is tiring and most of the group isn't very accustomed to such a thing. Thankfully, Lynda seems to know what she's doing and even enjoys the task.
Outnight Watches are set and the party settles in for the night. It's not long till they are roused by someone approaching the camp at a quick pace. Despite being aware of the approach the party barely has time to wake and ready themselves before a robed woman breaks the forest line and flies into their camp. She floats above the ground, 10 ft from the nearest party member, Rachelle. "Return my pupil. I apologize for his crimes but won't see him put to death," says the woman. She wears a white flowing robe and a crown of flowers. She has an ornate amulet around her neck, gloves that seem out of place with her outfit, and a glowing anklet.

"Kalar! Why do we still have him!?" Tammytharn whispers to him in surprise. She had been focusing on trying (clumsily) to help Lynda with the horses, and then with setting up camp, and then with making notes in her personal journal, and she had completely missed the fact that there was still a bound and gagged captive inside the wagon.

Voulton rises with a laugh. "Now we're getting somewhere! Nobody's gonna hurt this guy, we're just in possession of information that could lift this curse and he told us you're also in possession of important information. We'd hoped to strike up a partnership, but the boys got a little spooked on account of the whole failed robbery thing and we weren't able to find any common ground. Clearly if the curse were lifted you and your students could find a kingdom more welcoming to magic and we could each return to our respective homelands. Being trapped here serves no one." Looking to alleviate the common ground problem, Voulton reaches into his pack and offers the nice wizard lady a stick of jerky and hopes the others are able to lead this along more fruitfully than last time.

"Now that's a sight to behold." Lynda thinks. Seeing this interesting new person, Lynda shifts her sights on gleaning information from this woman.

"Forgive us, kind woman." Lynda says. "We do not mean harm to your pupil. May we have the honor of knowing your name?"

Two robed men run up behind the flying lady. "Moriamis, please don't be so rash," says one of the robed men. They both freeze in place when they see the party and seem to ready themselves to cast spells but stop short of actually casting.
The lady casts a spell and the tied up man wakes up. "Untie him and allow him to leave. Jean, take Glaco back with you. Franco and I will be alright here ourselves." With that one of the one of the newly arrived robed men move to retrieve the tied up man.

"I was told you have information of how to break this curse, but you likely know far less then you think," says the woman with a stern look on her face."

"Moriamis...?! MORIAMIS?!" Lynda thinks. She remembers that name from the scroll. "...I was expecting man."

"You...you're Moriamis?!" Lynda says with shock in her voice. "Then...do you know of...a potion of time travel?"

Moriamis whips her head towards Lynda. A readied spell in hand, she asks, "Who sent you?"

"If she tries anything, my amulet better work..." Lynda thinks.

"We were not sent by anyone. We are adventurers who came from Castle Amber. While there, we discovered a scroll. On it detailed names, items, and places. One such name was yours, and it was connected to the item called 'The Potion of Time Travel'. Please, kind woman, we mean no harm. We are simply looking for a way to break the curse."

Tammytharn steps forward as non-threateningly as she can, and explains, "We recently escaped from Castle Clover... or Castle Amber... I can't guess whether we know more or less than you do, but I think it is likely that we both have the same goals in mind. Perhaps if we sit down peacefully and share information, we will ALL be the richer for it."
