Voulton wields his axe menacingly. "Probably damned druids again, they're always mad about something!" and gives a shout into the woods: "These horses are helping us of their own free will! No one is enslaving them! The tree has been a cart for nearly a century and we didn't build it! Don't let its sacrifice be in vain!" that oughta do it. You just have to know how to talk to these people.

Tammytharn doesn't hear anything with her spell. The enemy doesn't seem to be talking.
Spell casting chants echo out of the forrest and all but Tammytharn's and Lynda's horses fall asleep.
After that, twelve robed men step out of the woods. They quickly circle around the party. Hrulgin's dart knocks one out and Hrulgin sneaks down and drags him away. The other robed men don't seem to have noticed.
"Stop where you are!" says one of the robed men. "We are mighty wizards! Give us your valuables or we'll use our magic to do terrible things to you! Behold, we our masters of fire!" Then he casts burning hands into the air. A tree almost catches on fire, but seems to sizzle out.

Voulton throws a few gold at the wizard and applauds.

Kalar steps out into view, hoping his appearance will frighten the fools. He lets out a roar, hoping to intimidate the 'wizards'.
"And I am a mighty werewolf. I am a master of the wild! And trust me, these fangs and claws? I can use them to do far, far more terrible things to all of you."
Kalar hopes that his little show will stall the robed figures long enough for Hrulgin to take more of them down.
Silently and sneakily as he can, Hrulgin tries to circle around behind one of the robed figures. He intends to paralyze them one by one, hoping to take down as many as possible while remaining hidden.

Five of the robed men run after Kalar exists the wagon. Another two run after he's down talking.
"Ye... yes!" The man that spoke before seems rattled and begins picking up the gold Voulton threw. "You were wise to heed our warning." The man stops, leaving a few of the gold behind. "Let.. let us go.. These people have paid the toll."
The rest of the robed men, that are not being dragged away by Hrulgin, run into the forest.
Their fleeing trumps Hrulgin's attempts to kidnap more of the robed men.

Hrulgin drags the unconscious man towards the rest of the party.
"This guy's out cold, what do you want done with him?"

"What, the show's over already? I thought you'd at least swallow a sword or something. Rip-off artists!"

"Blast, we're pretty close to town. They might alert the authorities if they get away."
The little primal display has perhaps clouded Kalar's thinking a bit, and he runs after the remaining 'wizards', tracking them down as best as he's able. Besides, seeing as how weak and sniveling they seemed, it might be possible to turn them to his side, making them his own minions by promising them all sorts of power in exchange for service.

Hrulgin looks to Tammytharn and says, "You'd better see to this guy, miss. I'm pretty sure he took a few nasty bumps while I was dragging him across tree roots and whatnot. Might also be a good idea to tie him up, the master will want to question him."

Kalar runs off into the forest after the robed men. The party quickly loses sight of him. The robed men seem to have scattered but are heading the same direction. Kalar sees one of them running close by.

Kalar puts on a burst of speed and attempts to tackle the man and bring him to the ground.

"Kalar! Come back!" Shouts Tammytharn. Then imploringly to Hrulgin, "Please don't let him eat any of those idiots"
Then she focuses on making sure their captive is secure and not in life threatening condition, and then tries to see if the horses can be roused

"Will do, miss."
With that, Hrulgin dashes off in search of his master.

When the horses are safe, and the prisoner has regained consciousness, Tammytharn prepares to cast Zone of Truth on him so they can more effectively interrogate him. She will wait until at least one of the others are ready to help ask questions.

Kalar drags another robed man back to the party as Tammytharn is casting her spell. "What do you want with me?" says the newly caught robed man.
