I've got a test build which won't allow me to connect to our server, and I like this build too much to go back to the old one to play on our server...
I tried getting to Herobrine Island. Turns out there's lots of landmasses in between, boats are fragile as crap, I got lost, then died.
I also bought Pokemon White recently, and got wrapped up in it.
I'm also leaving Friday for three weeks without my Computer or internet.

Did you know that Black 2 and White 2 are less than three months away?Master K wrote:I also bought Pokemon White recently, and got wrapped up in it
Speaking of release dates, Minecraft 1.3 is coming on August 1st (less than two weeks from now!), so I'm sure you'll all come running back to tinker with the new stuff on the updated server.

No idea in that regard, but I did hear from the wiki that there's going to be a "demo mode" that "lasts 5 game days per world." No idea whether this relates to multiplayer servers or not. But I'm certain it'll be useful for anyone out there who's still on the fence about making a full purchase.
Demo software is one of the greatest things ever to grace the internet.
EDIT: Made some more progress on the forest temple. Now it actually looks pretty damn foresty! A canopy ceiling in one room now looks like a bunch of shrubs from the surface. And then I ended up digging out towards a cliff facing a lake, which is looking pretty neat so far.

I have one more picture, but it's in super-duper high definition with the Wind Waker texture pack, so I'd probably get in trouble for using the image code for it here. Here's a smaller silly picture that has nothing to do with Minecraft. Click on it to see the high-definition screenshot and tell me if it was worth it.

Alright, time to bring life to this thread. Time to show you a village I made in creative mode!
Welcome to my village! Very nice isn't it? I paved all the roadways with Glowstone, so at night, the roads glow. Very nice, isn't it? Glowstone is one of my favorite blocks, so I use it often in creative.

These are the residential blocks. Six of the houses are standard houses, each the same dimensions, the only difference being the amount of beds and roof designs. The large house at the end is a mansion, with various features and items, including a brewing stand area.

Here's the guard tower. Quite a spectacle, right? It lies just off of the town square, and features a large tower for sniping monsters nearby.

This is the business block, and contains an inn with a bar and two bedrooms, a blacksmiths with lots of furnaces, and a library that contains many books, and even a little cafe style area on the second floor.

Well that's all-wait, what's that?

It's a fortress! With a massive tower that starts off with cobblestone but dithers off into Nether Brick!

Inside the tower is an elaborate spiral staircase the crawls up the tower...

And it leads to a Nether Portal at the very peak!

Well, that was a fun tour. See you some other time!

What are you going to build on the other side of the portal? You have complete creative freedom to abruptly jump into a whole new environment of your choosing (mostly, might have trouble with anything involving plants or water), so I'm pretty curious what you're going to build next.
Seriously, get creative! This is creative mode! I once built a sprawling ice maze surrounded by bedrock in the nether, and I have plans to construct another portal leading to the cloud line in the overworld, where I will build an artificial swamp with the clouds becoming low-to-the-ground fog. The possibilities are endless! Surprise us with something unexpected!

On the other side of the portal I terraformed a little cave like area around the portal, and gave it grass and everything.
Maybe eventually I'll create cool stuff and allow you guys to download the map and play it. Originally my Overworld Nether Tower was mean't to be a booby trapped tower, but I suck at making traps.
I tried to play with tripwire...but I didn't know how.

On August 17th I'll be back for 1.3. I leave Saturday for three weeks...
In other new, I've worked more on my world. I made a tower for my end portal. It's a ruined tower called Paradox Tower. I expanded my other fortress and called it Castle Paradox.
Maybe I'll allow you guys to download it sometime, it's pretty cool.
