Well, I'm going to remedy my monster problem. I'm going to build an island in the sky and build my new house there!

Unfortunately, during the construction, I died...and my spawn point was reset...I decided to use the Nether to help me this time...but I got greedy and went after some glowstone, and a Ghast blasted me down in one shot. Then, being foolish, I went back, and came out with 18 Glowstone and 64 Netherrack I got from a chest. Then, I made the journey out into a house I presume was Giz's. I got some food from the house...and one Blaze Rod so I could make a brewing table. Thanks Giz, or whoever owned the house!

Then, I took a rail to NJ. I borrowed some 2 Glowstones and left 2 Glowstone Dusts in the chest in exchange. Finally, I made the homeward bound and made it. Fun journey!

You just have the worst luck with mobs, it seems :(
When 1.3 comes around I'm gonna enchant a bunch of armor pieces and donate them to you.

Giz's house with a portal on the ground floor is the one with a few sheep inside.

My sister left stackloads of glowstone in a chest in the nether near a fortress nearly a year ago. I wonder if it's still there?! If someone finds it, take it and spare us the trouble.

I do have terrible luck. I just spotted A creeper outside my house door on my island...so, I decided to add more light to my home islands.

I also made a Glowtree on my main island, from that tree Bacon had planted for me. It looks amazing. It's seriously something to see.

I also went on another excursion, and it wound up being very profitable. I took my diamond pick with me. I went through that railway connecting Giz's ranch to NJ, and mined some valuables from there. I even mined enough Obsidian to make two Nether Portals! I now have a personal Nether Portal at my house.

Well, I've begun work on an OHR Texture Pack.

So far, all I've got done is paintings. The paintings are things from various OHR Games, and OHR related things. I'd greatly appreciate it if you all pitched in and help me create an awesome OHR themed texture pack!

Urgh, I can't even open Minecraft anymore! I don't know why, either...I open it up, log in, and it makes it to the Mojang screen and freezes entirely, forcing me to get Task Manager to shut it down. I don't know what to do!

I did that, and it worked! I did it before you told me, though, but thanks for trying to help anyways!

I've got some of the OHR Texture Pack done. If anyone wants to see what I've got done, I can send it to you. I modified it from a Zelda Texture pack I own, though...

Currently, I have the paintings done, some gui changed to resemble text boxes, and the Mojang screen now shows OHRRPGCE.

I'd like to ask you guys for help, though. You can all pitch in ideas and artwork of OHR based things to change things to. I would greatly appreciate it! When the texture pack is fully finished, I shall put it up in this thread for all people to download freely.

The paintings were (kind of) fun to do. I ran out of creativity and just put whatever I could find. Currently, the paintings are...

Small Paintings

*The RPG Icon for Game.exe.
*Bob The Hamster Slime Avatar.
*The hero from Castle On The Night Land, with CotNL written under him.
*A Dingoo from Illusions.
*The hero from Memento Mori being chased by laser blasts.
*Tim Tim the Mighty Gnome and the moon.
*A healing slime.

Medium Paintings (Across)

*An OHRRPGCE panorama (Currently is made of two paintings, you need to combine them to get the full painting...)
*The Slimes from the Slime Salad logo.
*The derpy pony from My Little Gahn.
*Bob The Hamster, James, and (I forgot) another hamster walking in a line.

Medium Paintings (Vertical)

*Zack from Illusions.
*Weegee.

Large Painting (2'4, horizontal)

*Bob the Hamster and a bar of Soap, with the caption "Don't Eat Soap!"

Moderate Painting (2'2)

*Nathan Karr's current avatar.
*Lyte Snap Card (Icebird)
*Lyte Snap Fire Tile.
*Lyte Snap Water Tile.
*Lyte Snap Earth Tile.

Larger Paintings (3'4)

*Grey Star Lives.
*Spellshard Logo.

Largest Paintings (4'4)

*Fat Ash and Pikachu.
*Maces Wild Title.
*Two swordsmen fighting (Wow, This Is Awesome!)
*Forest Temple title.

Changing the painting to be OHR-themed could be assuming, though personally I wouldn't change the rest of the textures.

Today I logged on and found myself above the bedrock ceiling in the Nether. I had been standing in a 2-blick high passage in the nether, and I had forgotten about the bug that can teleport you upward if you log out in a 2-block passage.

Nobody else was in the nether, so i couldn't get out with a /tp command.

So I built a small ALTAR OF LOST SOULS at x=0 z=0 and left all my stuff there before typing /kill

I was thinking it would be cool to use a level editor to punch a hole in the nether's bedrock ceiling, so we could get up there. It is perfectly flat, and no mobs ever spawn on their own up there, so it would be a pretty cool place for creative-mode-style constructions.

Sounds cool to me, though I'd be cautious doing anything too big up there, for fear future patches would declare it out of bounds and drown you or something

Yeah, I really wonder if they are every going to make that space usable. If I was the Minecraft devs, I would convert all the bedrock in the nether above a certain Y-threshold into obsidian, and then have the terrain generator create new stuff up there... But I suspect it is most likely they will do nothing at all with it.

But if we do build something cool up there, and a future update is going to clobber it, I am sure it can be saved through copy-and-paste shenanigans with MCEdit.

Well, that Nether Portal I made is now connected...sorta. It's in the entrance of my new cavern system I named, called the 'Subterranean Complex'. It's full of goodies...SwampTroll was nice enough to dig me an entrance to the surface, and now I'm exploring it. It's quite large!

Also, brewing saved my life. I brought a health potion with me just in case, and I accidentally fell in lava. I got out, but I would've burned to death if it were not for my health potion. I would've lost a diamond sword and nearly full Iron if not for that potion...

Finally, my Gold has use. It makes Glistering Melons!

EDIT: FUUUUUUUUUUU-!!!

I lost my Diamond Sword because of a damn creeper! He scared me into the lava and I died! Then I got shot to death by a skeleton and lost the rest of my stuff...and I STILL haven't explored the entire place!!!

Damn lag...3 Frames Per Second...
