THE CAMPAIGN: Chapter 1-"The Dragons in the Desert"

Insect-men above us! We are under attack!

Vire begins summoning a fiendish monstrous centipede, and Liev flies to E2 to attack the northernmost uglybug.

[Spoonweaver]

Vire begins a spell that will complete next turn, while Liev attempts to claw one of the insect men to death. He hits, and gives the insect man a scrape on his chest. (2 points of damage)

"They" don't take this well. The one that Liev attacked, attacks back. Thankfully, Liev is able to dodge the insect man's many blows.

Another Insect man, jumps down from the cliff. Looking un affected by the massive fall, he lunges at Ehaism with a longspear. The spear sticks into the lizardman's arm. ( 8 points of damage )



Let's see what the new found Ribbon can do.

[Momoka]

Ribbon casually draws her sword, and strolls up behind Gregor. On the way over, her posture drops, and her face extends into a muzzle. She smiles with ten thousand teeth, knowing that any bugs that come near her will fell the bite of the wolf

[Spoonweaver]

Ribbon uses a power.
The elf doesn't seem to do anything at all.

2 more Thri-Kreen jump down, from the cliff, to the south.
One attacks Kytana, but misses.
The other attacks the wagon's wheels.



What's Kytana's move?

kytana looks around and shoots and arrow at the nearest insect, goading:

I'll squash you like the bugs you are!

[Spoonweaver]

Kytana readys a point blank shot at the insectiod less than a foot away.
This invited the insect person to take a free stab at Kytana. Which misses.
Kytana's arrow does not. It pierces the thorax of the creature. ( 5 damage )

Gregor doesn't know what to do. The party's been ambushed! He tries his best to focus on keeping the oxen calm.

The remaining insect men on the cliff all move to the edge and hurl javelins and the convoy.

2 at The elfish lady. 1 hits for 3 points of damage. The elf lady looks angry.

1 at Vire. It hits for 7 points of damage.

1 at Gregor. It misses.

1 seems to not be aimed at anything at all.



Ehaism is ready to fight!

[Bob the Hamster]

Deevdru di vi!!!

Ehaism exclaims, furious that he has suddenly been stabbed. He sees that there are many enemies, and he knows he has to be professional about this. he holds back his rage for now...

Ehaism calmly obliterates the thri-kreen who stabbed him.

[Spoonweaver]

Ehaism does indeed obliterates the thri-kreen (guess I'll just go ahead and call them thri-kreens now) who stabbed him. It falls lifeless to the ground.



Vire's fiendish monstrous centipede appears. It's time to fight bugs with bugs.

[Mogri]

The monstrous centipede scrambles up the wall and joins Liev in attacking the northern bug-man. Vire, outraged by the javelin that has pierced him, turns around and fires at the eastern thri-kreen.

[Spoonweaver]

Vire's Minions both assault the north most western Thri-kreen. The centipede's efforts are in vain, but Liev manages another scratch. (1 damage)
Vire on the other hand turns his sights to the Thri-kreen that has just wounded him. He wildly takes aim and fires. The Thri-kreen's head erupts with the dark green liquid that the things call blood. It slumps over and loses it's footing. It's body lands lifelessly on the canyon floor.

The thri-kreen currently engaged with the bird and the centipede latches out with it's many attack options. Liev remains untouched. However, the centipede isn't so lucky. The Thri-kreen's spear impales the many legged creature, sending it away as quickly as it appeared.



Ribbon's geared up and ready to show this group what she's got.

[Momoka]

Ribbon slides over the ox-cart to get between the two Thri-Kreen at the rear of the train. She sees one is already wounded, so she turns her attention to the other one, slashing and biting it.

It occurs to her that she so calmly walked forward, only to have to dash back to her original position, but whatever. Slash! Bite!

[Spoonweaver]

Ribbon bounds over the wagons and in the middle of the 2 Thri-kreen. Provoking attacks from both of them. One hits (2 damage).
She then attacks the one on the left with her Longsword and hits it. (8 damage). She tries to bite it too, but she's too tired too this round.

The elf lady, charges up and attacks the same Thri-kreen with her fists. But doesn't land a hit.

The 2 Thri-kreen around ribbon then full attack. 2 claw attack hit Ribbon (4 damage total). 1 bite attack hits kytana (3 damage). The bite injects poison into Kyatana, but it's staved off.



Kytana, time for revenge!

Kytana shoots a point blank at the monster in front of him, froning and notching another arrow before looking around.
Kytana says:

This is bad....

[Spoonweaver]

Kytana goes for another point blank shot. The Thri-kreen swipes at kytana's attempt, but misses due to Kytana's massive dexterity. Kytana's attack doesn't miss however. In fact, it goes straight through the head of the thri-kreen and spills it's gooey blood on the sand.

Gregor is still doing a good job of keeping the wagon from running away.

The Thri-kreen on the cliff top all take aim and launch another wave of javelins.
2 miss Ribbon and Kytana.
1 hits Gregor, who looks badly injured due to the hit.
The last one impales one of the oxen. It dies in an instant.



Ehaism is up next.

[Bob the Hamster]

Ehaism was pleased by the satisfying crunch of the first thri-kreen he killed. The satisfying crunch was repeated when Vire killed the next thri-kreen-- Ehaims can only assume with some kind of magic wand-- (He wasn't looking in that direction at the right instant)

Ehaism sees the other thri-kreen on the cliff edges above, and he begins to climb the east wall, intending to kill them from their level
