Bahahahahhahahahahahaha! Apology accepted.
But seriously, any suggestions, critique, etc...

Now look what you've gone and done. It was so funny that it has now become a reality.Master K wrote:Sorry I just had to.

Thanks. Bio-mechanical is definitely what I'm going for on this one. The mention of chitin is definitely inspiring some other ideas now too, maybe a grasshopper type machine.Bob the Hamster wrote:I love this enemy sprite. It doesn't look like anything real, but it does have a good feeling of shape to it. Although I cannot recognize most of its features, those features look like they belong there. They don't seem to be random lines.
I imagine that its exterior is made of chitin like a crab's shell, but that on the inside, in addition to muscle and sinew and fluids, there are also pipes and wires and motors.
Bio-mechanical.

The people with the cords are currently charging their EyePods.Willy Elektrix wrote:If those faces are from the future, shouldn't their technology be wireless? I can't imagine why they would need a fiber optic cable. Just throwing that out there...
They look great though!

Well, most are working off the same base I drew, so a few would have identical parts. I shall remedy this!Bob the Hamster wrote:Are the two on the left in the bottom row supposed to be brothers? I notice they have identical noses.
Yup, I'll be doing those soon.Bob the Hamster wrote:Do you plan to do any female faces in this style?
Also yup, but perhaps after the female ones.Bob the Hamster wrote:Do you plan to do any faces with asian or african features in this style?
Well, not really specific characters, but more the different people you can recruit and place into your squad. You don't really have a main character as it's squad-based tactical combat.Bob the Hamster wrote:I forget if you said already, but to these faces represent specific characters in the game, or is this a game where you pick whatever face you want for your own character?
Well, that's because wireless would be no fun to draw, and having all sorts of wires everywhere (imo) looks cooler, heh. Like with most cyberpunk stuff, you see guys with all sorts of wires and stuff hanging out of their heads and stuff or cybernetic parts that (while hi-tech) look like they were cobbled together out of spare junk lying about.Willy Elektrix wrote:If those faces are from the future, shouldn't their technology be wireless? If it was wireless, then someone with a good directional antennae tuned to the right wavelength could hack their cybernetic hardware from a distance.BMR wrote:Well, that's because wireless would be no fun to draw, and having all sorts of wires everywhere (imo) looks cooler, heh. Precisely, fibre optics can not so easily be hacked!Bob the Hamster wrote:If it was wireless, then someone with a good directional antennae tuned to the right wavelength could hack their cybernetic hardware from a distance.BMR wrote:Well, that's because wireless would be no fun to draw, and having all sorts of wires everywhere (imo) looks cooler, heh. This actually happens in the Shadowrun tabletop roleplaying game. It is possible to hack peoples PANs (personal networks) and then manipulate their cyberwear, nano-hives, etc.Bob the Hamster wrote:If it was wireless, then someone with a good directional antennae tuned to the right wavelength could hack their cybernetic hardware from a distance.
