Is it a take on that just-a-whole-bunch-of-swords miniboss from Castlevania?

Yup! True to form, each sword/weapon will be a reference to an iconic "OHR Weapon".

I saw your post in IRC asking about weapons from games of mine when I woke up the next morning, but it was too late by then.
There were several that came to mind for me
* Akira's
Rosefire/RosaFoi (which has had three vastly different designs, but the blade was consistently bright pink)
* Lyle,
Axe of the Mystics (talking axe that basically looks like any other; last spotted in a dragon's hoard and no hero has actually wielded him because the game is indefinitely unfinished)
* The
Axe of the Apostles (last wielded by Paul Rowanoak)
* The
Half Axe (a hatchet that shrinks to accommodate any wielder shorter than the dwarves that crafted it)
* From the same game, the Ham-Ham Ring (wedding ring that can be thrown like a boomerang and inconsistently transforms wearer/target into a relatively harmless-but-acidproof hamster).
* A
mace or a machine gun would have been equally appropriate to my most anticipated everyone-wants-me-to-expand-this title.
Knife taped to a hamster is still really amusing though.

Only one I was familiar with was the wooden mallet. Should I feel bad?

I'm pretty sure I recognize the Sword of Jade (because of No More Villains), the Crisis Sword, and maybe one or two others. I'm not familiar with as many as I probably should be.

Yes, it is. To me it looks as if you've included a bokeh effect/depth of field too, or maybe the whole background is meant to look a little out of focus?
I only recognised a couple of those weapons. The crescent staff is from Vikings. Isn't the widest sword from TSSE? And I see one which seems to include a red triangle, although I bet it's from one of Fenrir's games, not one of RMZ's.

Ah! I didn't notice the hamster strapped to that knife!
Powerstick? Was there a lightsaber weapon in PSM also called 'Powerstick' that I've forgotten about? Or is that a major artistic liberty?
I played My Little Gahn a few times and I still have no memory of "The Sphinx's Riddle"... time to play again I guess. At least I recognised Defender without even really playing TSSE.
