A Stable Release Draws Near, Command?

Post by Bob the Hamster »

This is the thread where I ask for help testing release-candidates for the next stable release!

The hróðvitnir release will be out soon. Please test by downloading the latest nightly wip and verifying that it works for you.

Extra bonus points if you test the "Distribute Game" menu, as that has gotten a few last-minute fixes

I'm getting errors when I try to export to mac or linux from windows. "ERROR: failed to read buildinfo.ini" then "ERROR: OHRRPGCE-Game.app is not available"
Have a flower! ^-^~* (she/her)

Note that starting with hróðvitnir, only the Windows installer .exe includes (the final version of) Vikings of Midgard. So it's 49MB, while the other downloads are 5-9MB.

We made some more fixes in the last few days, including the problem reported by Ravancloak, finally vanquishing the virus scanner problem when embedding icons in exes, and various fixes to controller/multiplayer input, although I see plugging in a controller after the game has started still doesn't work.
