With Xero not yet showing up and Swordplay quitting
I have place ravancloak on Team 4
I will be taking a much smaller role on that team to even things out.

Team 3 is still chugging away strong. We don't have a fancy name. Also any screenshot we do will give away our entire game. All I can share is Fenrir's response when I shared the concept with him.

All right, you, you can't just fabricate enemy animations in the default battle system and walk away like it's no big deal. Holding the last frame for an extra couple of ticks makes a big difference, too. Are you using some kind of rapid-transmogrification wizardry?

I am, yes. :angel:

The way I did it was, for a given attack an enemy has, it'd use a dummy attack on itself that'd transmogrify itself into frame 1 of the animation, immediately chain to an attack that'd transmogrify itself into frame 2, and so on, until the animation's played through. Then, the next attack in the chain would be something that hits its target; this has the added effect of letting the animation rest on the final frame, while the actual attack plays out (you'll notice that there's a spray effect that appears over Hacker). Finally, the chain ends with another dummy attack that transmogrifies the attacker back to its original state.

It should be noted that this only really works when battles are turn-based, since active-time ones let people interrupt each other when they're doing chained attacks.

Only a few days in and already we have tragedy and triumph, strife and camaraderie.

I didn't know it was possible to animate that smoothly using transmog!

Tonight in Discord Bacon asked for a hint about what Team 3 is doing. Just one word. He said it didn't even matter how vague, so I'll share with you guys what I shared... Undergarments.

Any and all artwork Morpheus and I make will ruin the game's surprise. But I did draw up the logo today, it's pretty sick I think. Only Fenrir knows what it is besides Team 3.

Undergarments really is a terrible hint but it is one.

If anybody wants to lend some help to Team 3, we are looking for people to record grunts and slurry background noises. Record anything you want to submit and email it to colesloth@gmail.com and label how you want to be credited. Otherwise it's going to be Morpheus and I doing the full game's ambient sounds.

Those animations seriously look amazing.  They're exactly the kind of thing I've spent a lot of time trying to make work in the built-in battle system, and they even take advantage of the fact that even an attack with null animations still takes one frame's worth of time, which normally ruins a lot of plans to make complex interactions work!

I realized my clues are hilarious in combination. It's not about underpants. They are featured in the game. Not the game entirely. Also regarding voice direction, if anyone wants I'm looking for random chatter and such to the equivalent of how the visitors were in Rollercoaster tycoon. Otherwise it's just team 3 making these sounds.
