That is an epic monster!

The tail-arm and the stinger arm make it especially creepy.

I also like how you connected it to the Axe Cop lore with the Everyman

Since the last mission is finished for me, I've been going through and testing the connections to the Water Castle since Mission 6 and 7 were made out of order. I had a few bugs but ultimately now all of them are squashed and and as far I'm concerned everything is solid. I'm going to take a couple of weeks off and start the next batch of content in June. Just two areas to go until the game is finished.

In that two weeks I'm hoping to write out everything I'll need to get me to the end of production.

The Water Castle is very puzzle oriented, and that's probably why I feel okay that this area does not have a minigame like the others as there's enough variety here that it doesn't need one. One of the puzzles is a take on the Surfasaurus picture puzzles however this time I updated the hint system to actually give a percentage complete.

I've neglected recently to post and concur. The Badguymera, those backdrops, and the satisfyingly spatial elevator sequence especially!

Thanks guys. Work has been kicking my butt lately and I'm gradually getting back into this. James Paige is helping us with a special segment that is basically the equivilant of Link pulling the Master Sword out. The segment I hope to finish this month (optimistically this weekend) will be the last batch of in-between content before the final two dungeons begin production. Both are simplified and need to be two month tasks like Auber was but who knows. Really trying to stick the Thanksgiving landing!

I shared this in Discord but also figure probably another good time for an update. This area will likely be finished this weekend then follow up with a giant cutscene explaining the game's deep secrets before going into the final dungeon. I'm not 100% sure how it's supposed to look in my head, but I'm sure it'll turn out well.

I've been playing Vikings in Discord for about a week now and it got me thinking... I have SOME of you in Axe Cop as NPCs. Like James Paige, TMC, Pepsi Ranger, Spoonweaver, Surlaw/Wobbler. If anyone would like to be an NPC I'll be happy to add you in. We will just need to work on your design and dialog for your character's personality.

I might put you in the town or hold you for my post-release project of exploring the apartment buildings. That task in particular will be huge and I'll definitely need new characters to fill out those buildings.

Oh, I absolutely love being a game cameo regardless of the depiction's accuracy. You could go with just about anything; the samurai Ronin Catholic in his bright red o-yoroi, the Green Arrow cosplaying Nathan from OHR House 3, a depraved Vorticon, a more realistic and down to earth appearance (a slightly overweight white man with short brown hair and a mustache) or any of the...dozens? hundreds? of designs I've gone through for my fursona over the years.

Dialog can be harder or a lot easier, given my penchants for pedantry, punning, alliteration, and spamming outdated memes for great justice. I'm a many-faceted terror of online communication!

You and Bena will be the first NPCs when I expand the buildings to visit apartments. If I abandon that idea you guys will be regular townspeople. Thanks guys!

Oh neat. Dunno if a dog person would fit in the game but I'd be down to be in the game.
Working as intended!

Well, the comic had dogs with the heads of humans so if anything it might not be outlandish enough.

Yeah you are talking about Lobster Man. The thing about the townspeople is... I can't create a character that is more outlandish looking than the comic characters as the point of the game is to showcase them. Because of that, the NPCs really need to just be ordinary people and let the absurdity of the comic characters shine. I already have a request for a certain wolf character from Vikings that is going to be humanized for this game planned out.

Axe Cop has a lot of generic types of people, and one-off characters, if I remember right? Great artwork/depictions

Hi,

I'd love to be an NPC! I used to enjoy the cartoon quite a while back. What info would you like?

Production's going pretty great lately. This segment of the game is the most exhausting but it's turning out fantastic. It's got a lot of flashbacks, which means a lot of locations that are one time use places. Soda Piggy and I spent a good chunk of the weekend on the Oval Office map that some of you probably saw in Discord while I was working on it.

One of the two scenes in that area is actually 100% from the 1st page of the 6th volume, American Choppers.

It always feels great to do stuff like that and bring the comic book literally to life. With the game building to my giant climax there won't be many more of them.
