Well i don't work on my games all the time, somtimes i take months to continue a game, but here is what i'm working on

GTA -conected-
Layering and tiling the whole map back from the start, with new graphics and a vision os 35 degres of the veichles

Reign of Grelok
Working on the last map and the boss battle, after that i will do the intro and a few more houses to the town and refine the graphics.

V the xxx site virus II the backup
Halted, but will continue progress soon.

NPC Life
The main NPC walkabout graphics are done and the first town done, the wood fence needs redrawing though.

And a secret project using the games that almost evrybody knows from the OHR comunity

But work still in progress after a few drawbacks.

No no no, that's not how you say it. It goes like this:

I don't always work on my games, but when I do, I take months to continue them.

Illusions is coming along very well. The first dungeon is complete, and the second dungeon is on its way. Alchemy is already in place, with two other tradeskills to be implemented.

I'm getting some major "an untitled story" vibes.

I may be doing something for HoTOHR2...

Image

Here are some early port-town graphics, with that being the docking area. I haven't done any building or ship graphics yet (mainly because of me needing to gather more reference images :S I hate trying to draw ships). The character graphics stand-out off the background more in the game than in this image.

This is Kiira, she is a character that I've wanted to use for a while, but I've never been able to put her into something properly until now (she was actually a leftover from The Monolith, that game I was making way back in late 2008).

...Yeah it's been too long since I made a game. Feels good to be back in action though. :kamina:

Re:NeoSpade
Looks awesome! I look forward to seeing what you submit. Also I mistook the long string in the dock screenshot for a fishing line. Maybe you can actually catch fish with it?
Kiira looks an awful lot like a character I've been working on for a while - a coincidence, certainly, but I have to wonder how similar their personalities and backstories are/will be. PM those details to me if you want, because I'd like to see them.
Both of these images have been inflated poorly, I have to say. They're png files, which is great, but they're a bit blurry. What program did you edit them in? If it's Photoshop, there's an option when resizing images from the Image menu that will keep all your pixels intact - "Nearest Neighbor".

Or if you're on the GIMP:

Also, to add to Baconlabs' advice, if you primarily use your image editor for pixeling, you can go ahead and set the interpolation to Nearest Neighbor (Photoshop) or None (GIMP) as the default in the preferences. That way, you don't need to worry about it later on. It will also affect your Free Transform (Photoshop) or Scaling (GIMP when editing, which can sometimes be useful.

And I would have to agree, Kiira looks awesome! Also, I like how your water tiles show translucency, you can see the brick wall behind it giving it a greater sense of depth that does a lot for the overall feel of the map.

heh... well when I uploaded those images I was actually on my ol' laptop which refuses to run GIMP. Thank you very much for the advice guys :) I've always had issues getting good screenshots.

@Labs
I'd love to give you her backstory, but atm it's all in a notebook. In addition I think to understand the backstory properly you'd have to understand the multiverse of the game (I've wrote about a small novels worth of notes for this game over the past 2~3 years, getting all the info in the game will be a task indeed!)

Well, if nothing else, doing a clean, careful resize in MS Paint usually works.
So, your game is a multiverse, not just a universe? Does it involve intergalactic and/or time travel? Regardless, I'm sure you're capable of scanning over all the details and gleaning out the ones that apply to this character. Hopefully if and when you send this story to me, it'll prompt questions on my end, which you can answer as we go, and in the process, you'll be taking a second look at your story and reflecting on which aspects need detailing or polishing or revising. Who knows, maybe I can even give you a new idea or two to improve your existing story.

You might as well start typing this story anyway, it's very handy to have story documents handy in .txt format, even if they're unorganized or incomplete. Plus, what if your paper story got eaten by a hamster or something? Backup your files!

Heh, I can see your point Baconlabs. I'll need a bit of time to write it up, but be sure that when I put the relevant information together for you I will send it to ya. I think I can give you the info on her, and what she is without needing to give you the whole creation story (when I started this I literally started at _THE_ beginning). ;)

EDIT: Grammar...

It's been a while since I've worked on anything, but boredom caught up with me and I decided to see if my spritework was still any good.

Image
This is a giant cell. I did my best with the colors, but I think if I had access to different colors I could have blended better. I'd prefer to not tweak with my palette, though, so for now I'll just stare at my creation vexedly.

Image
An "iguanodon". As with the cell I like how this one turned out, yet at the same time I'm unsure about the colors. I feel like I have to play with the shading a bit to get it just right.

Indeedy. Do those use the default OHR palette?

Neo's Better Palette. The only change I made to the palette was to add a few orangeish colors that the original was lacking.
