something i wanted to share awhile back, but never got around to it for some reason.

here is the completed world map.

Image

the two continents on the right side are currently unreachable, along with the mysterious island on the top of the screen.

Very nice! Now you have constructed your own world, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it.

Hehe. How's this for some eye-candy?

The new title screen for a most-anticipated game:

A redrawn graphic for an old enemy (This was completely redrawn, not the game rip!)

And finally, some edits and reimaginings of the characters, starting with this well-known one:

Sweet battle sprite there.

Hmm, the fire in the titles screen, does that animate?

I was actually planning on having it animate, I'm just not sure how to go about doing that.

Yes, you must!

The DOOM logo is a bit lopsided, though :(

Reminds me of the first OHR game I ever completed. Looking forward.

@thespazztikone: i could maybe think of a way to get that to animate... it might have to involve two seperate title screens, though... sort of like double dragon games, where the first title screen is animated until you press a button, then it brings you to a static background with the main menu. also glad to see that you started drawing all the enemies. i was actually gonna suggest that you do that. it looks and fits way better than ripped graphics. guess i'll have to start working one the scripts again! i'll just use placeholder attacks until they get worked out.

@Spoonweaver: i saw this on RMN and wondered if it was for real. still, it looks silly enough to be interesting. any plans on doing anything out of the norm with this one, or just default OHR engine stuff?

It's easy to run an animation below a menu. Just turn on the "allows gameplay & scripts" bitset.

POKEMON vs MARIO BROS vs FINAL FANTASY is an attempt at getting game views/downloads. Such views or downloads will hopefully translate into profile views and that may or may not lead to slimesalad game file visits.

POKEMON vs MARIO BROS vs FINAL FANTASY is a very subtle game that seems very incomplete at first glance. I'm going to try some stuff out with the game file in order to use those techniques in the RPG I'm going to make with Jack for the $400RPG contest. Public testing and comments would be a big help.

Pretty good. Although the legs on the first one seem to be a bit out of proportion. The second one though is nice, has a great deal more depth to it than the old version.

Oh, and regarding the title screen, are you going to go ahead an animate it? I could do the fire graphics for that if you want. It would be a fun challenge.

Actually, TMC already had a bit of a script going for the fire thing. :>

But, if we don't work out all the probs, I guess ye could do a fire anim. Thanks! : D
