I put an update for Stand on the games page. It's a lot more than it was before, although it still isn't much. I think I'm finally able to start pumping out story and gameplay at this point though, so I expect updates to be more frequent from now on.

Got a functional version of the Minecraft style item crafting system up if anyone would care to try it out. I put it into a bare-bones test game called SlimeCraft, and uploaded it to the games section of the forums.
There is
one Easter Egg in the game, that I hope is found, and appreciated by at least somebody. Otherwise, it's pretty sparse.
In the spirit of this thread, I shall now proceed to hype this game... *ahem*
hypehypehype...
Thank you for your time, that is all.

I tried it out, and it's really neat! A little buggy, but neat. For example, if you try to use enter instead of space to select options and move through textboxes in the crafting menu, weird things happen.
Not sure if I didn't find the easter egg, or just didn't know it when I saw it, but the dial-up internet was a lovely touch.

Oh man, I didn't even consider the possibility of players using Enter instead of Space to confirm, advance boxes or select things! I guess that would cause some odd occurrences, I'm not sure how to deal with that aside from just plunking another howto text saying to use Space instead of Enter.... hmmm...
In any case, I'm thrilled that you gave it a try and posted your thoughts, Thanks!

I found the easter egg within a few minutes of experimenting... I must say it was very witty. Well done, brought a smile to my face.

Glad you found/enjoyed it

it was kind of just a last minute thing. Thank you for downloading, and taking a look at the little Slimecraft project.

Oh yeah, I'm very glad you made this. I'll likely refer back to it when I make my potions cauldron for my game. When I planned out my cauldron I already had though up a bunch of unlisted ingredient combinations that will result in easter eggs and special items. Mine will be less about orientation of ingredients and more about learning combinations I think though.

Yeah, it's exceedingly buggy if you use the space bar :) I didn't manage to find the easter egg though.
You could write "key is pressed(key:space) || key is pressed(key:enter)" but looking at the scripts, that doesn't appear to be to problem at all. I'll take this back to the slimecraft thread though.
I feel tempted to combine Slimecraft with
Blockworks at some point

That is the most games I have ever heard of anyone working on at once. How many of those have gotten anywhere?
So Game World doesn't take place only in SAMPLE.RPG-land?
Wow, that screenshot of "V The XXX Site Virus II: The Backup" shows some serious issues with the dither background and font outline conflicting. I'll try to remeber to add an option to outline fonts using 8-neighbourhood rather than 4-neighbourhood pixels.
Kinda concerned by the existence of OHRChan...
