Cool!

Huh, I thought that the original version of the game had this too. It asked for confirmation before save scumming, didn't it?

Sort of. The old version would let you continue after you died, and called it save scumming. And you are right, it did make a small difference in the ending.

I guess it would be more accurate to say that I re-did both the good and bad endings :)

I figure posting here would be better than immediately making a development thread with all of the nit-picky details.

The first game I'm going to make is one under the working title of 'Drakenmoor: The First Cycle'. Right now, I'm focusing on the graphics and plot.

The plot centers around the main character, John Owen, who is whisked away into a strange world of ancient magics and strange sciences, and the middle ground that both fall into.
(I'll make a separate thread when I have enough of both to provide some decent screenshots.)

Schools been slowing down so possible demo release in the near future....?

Here's a peek at my game. I have yet to come up with a proper name for it but may call it "Sunken." This name seems kind of vague but I believe its meaning parallels my game in more ways than one.

You are a normal farmer boy.
Only one thing sets you apart.
Every night, you have the same dream.

Image

You dream that you're standing on a cliff,
watching the infamous Demon Dragon of Doom
laying waste to the countryside.

While you watch, a fairy appears.
It flies in front of you and says,
"Only you can defeat him."

The time has come to begin your quest.
With 100 gold and your father's sword
you will travel long and far to destroy
the Demon Dragon of Doom.

Image

How you go about that is up to you.

Beautiful!

This looks like a great port.

Do you plan on doing mouse support too, or is it all still keyboard?

Strictly keyboard. I can't imagine a mouse control scheme that wouldn't slow you down, and speed is... fairly important. Besides that, mouse controls complicate the porting process and necessitate extra UI considerations (a menu button, for example).

Speaking of menus... I guess that's next on the to-do list.

New Game

Hey everyone. Check out my latest game upload. It's called Fart. It's a game about farting. It's not very similar to the stuff I normally do but it seem like a good little hour project to work on, and The Wobbler said he'd pay $5 to whomever could create the best fart game for him so this is what I've got.

Links here:

Tell me which fart sound effect you like the best!
