Maybe make it look realistic and bloody, but have "Ketchup" equipped in his accessory slot?RedMaverickZero wrote:In a game geared towards all ages, do you think one character that is actually scary is bad? I know it sounds weird with a game called Scare Spree, but for some reason everyone has different opinions on fake blood towards kids. It's the Pig Butcher, so I mean, I wanted his special move to be pretty gruesome looking.
The first time I clicked on "Play" it took me directly to a screen that said "you lose" and then after that the level started. I have not been able to reproduce it again.Spoonweaver wrote:Please report any and all bugs you find while playing Slimeomancy. Even if you think it's super small and doesn't matter, or even if it's just a flow thing or something. Anything at all. Thank you.
The menu is disabled, so this doesn't work so well.Bob the Hamster wrote:Maybe make it look realistic and bloody, but have "Ketchup" equipped in his accessory slot?RedMaverickZero wrote:In a game geared towards all ages, do you think one character that is actually scary is bad? For one instant before the splash screen intro I can see the "Level 1" screen.
When you click the close button in the top right to quit back to the title screen, it is pretty easy to accidentally long-click and exit from the title screen too.
You might want to briefly deaden the title screen's exit button, or perhaps detect when a click is new.
(that is something I really should add as a built-in feature. A way to easily detect mouse-down and mouse-up without having to use a variable or a tag and checking manually every tick)
Would it be better if he was holding a giant ketchup container instead of the chainsaw for that attack you think?Mogri wrote:The menu is disabled, so this doesn't work so well.Bob the Hamster wrote:Maybe make it look realistic and bloody, but have "Ketchup" equipped in his accessory slot?RedMaverickZero wrote:In a game geared towards all ages, do you think one character that is actually scary is bad? It's hard to show "fake blood" at any resolution, so it might be worth avoiding.
I'm sure it's not even a big deal but the only bug-like thing I ran into was during the level select area. First the arrows clicked on to switch through the pages trigger too fast which results in me flipping through 2-3 pages rather than just 1. And the second thing I noticed during the level select was the mouse cursor was overlapped by the level numbers on each level number button. These are more of an aesthetic thing for me, not so much a bug. It is a very awesome game from what I've played so far. Reminds me of this puzzle game I used to have on my TI-83 back in the day though I can't recall the games name.Spoonweaver wrote: Please report any and all bugs you find while playing Slimeomancy. Ok, cool thanks. I'll try to get that fixed asap.sheamkennedy wrote:I'm sure it's not even a big deal but the only bug-like thing I ran into was during the level select area.
