Thanks for the tips James! I made an effort to attempt to "lightly" shade the tree without compromising the look of the rest of the tiles.

<a href="http://s19.photobucket.com/user/RedMave ... 8.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b175/ ... 4a7868.png" border="0" alt="Scare Spree 3 F photo ScareSpree_3_F_zps314a7868.png"></a>

I've also been working on the details to the map. It's about 50% larger than the previous Scare Spree level. And for the first time since I've done OHR, I think I got cars pretty decent. Can anyone think of any other fun Halloween neighborhood decorations?

Another day, another update! All of the screenshots up until right now show the player as the skeleton man. But, as we're beginning to implement scripts and get gameplay tightened up, it's a cool time to say that there will actually be multiple characters to choose from. In the planned release, there will actually be 8. Four boys and four girls. Each with their own sounds and animations!

Mogri and I have been getting the kinks worked out. We have a working HUD in position now with the Scare Meter at the bottom. I'll be taking requests for generic Halloween costumes if anyone wants to contribute any ideas? I still have about 20+ kids I need to sprite for the game.

Was that a costume suggestion, or a teaser for Tim-Tim 2?

Costume Suggestions:
* Hockey-mask
* Costumed Super-Hero (Powerstick Man?)
* Frilly Pink Princess with wings for some reason
* Kid Who Made His own Costume Out Of Aluminum Foil And Duct Tape

All of those are perfect ideas! It'll take me a lot of the weekend, but I hope to get them all in! Thanks!

If you use Powerstick Man (and name him) for the Android version, make sure you remember to credit me in a file somewhere by my real name and state that it's "Used With Permission." Normally I wouldn't care if you use my characters in your games if it's just gonna circulate around the OHR community, but since I'm trying to turn some of my characters (including Powerstick Man) into commercial literary properties, I want to make sure the rules on IP are respected here whenever the greater public outside the community, or monetary transactions in or out, are involved. Hopefully that should make everything kosher and still give you the room to use the characters, or likeness of characters in this case, you want.

Thanks. Oh, and I'm looking forward to checking out the update.

(I second the penguin costume.)

Werewolf, lazy anime-type cat costume (just a pair of ears and maybe a tail), and mouse.

I've got all of you guys' costume ideas on my list for the weekend to knock out. All of which seem do-able. However, one of those costumes is actually going to wind up being a secret costume in the game! Now, my next question... I'm planning on 2 levels already for the game, and possibly a secret 3rd one. Does anyone have any further ideas for levels?

Da "spooky woods"
Put notes on some of the things in that woods if you do so.
Maybe have a Ominously Thin Gentlemen costume.

I was hyping my game.
This is the game hype thread, not the scare spree thread...
