Assuming the situation is well in hand, Tim-Tim decides to do nothing, but stays wary of any new dangers that may appear.

Tim-Tim

Tim-Tim stays back, on the lookout for any further threats.

Kobold 5
Kobold 12
Kobold 8
Kobold 9

All are either dying, or completely out and can't do anything.

Listen (1d20 + Ranks + WIS)
  • Akbar: 14 + 0 + 1 + 1 = 16 Fail
    Beardthar: 4 + 0 + 3 + 2 = 9 Fail
    Peanut: 18 + 4 + 1 + 2 = 25 Success
    Spittle: 4 + 0 + 0 = 4 Fail
    Tim-Tim: 16 + 0 + 3 + 2 = 21 Success
You heare a faint clicking coming from the north, you can't quite identify what it is though.

Then Spittle heads down to help however he can. I don't think he can make an attack this turn but he'd certainly do so if he could.

Spittle

Spittle runs south, but can only make it far enough to stand behind Akbar.

Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar feels himself becoming dangerously warm. "Make it stop! Make it stop!" He smites the druid.

Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar's Turn!

Getting rather seared by the heat, Akbar takes a powerful two-handed strike at the Druid, invoking his deity's name in the strike.

Akbar: 19 + 2 + 4 + 2 = 27 Critical hit! Akbar hits for (2d4[6] + 6 + 6) 18 damage

A flash of divine light illuminates the cavern as the falchion bites deep into the druid's chest. It cuts through, and exits the druid's back, tearing through spine and lungs.

As it falls, it mutters, "ul... Berec..." then it dies with a bloody, and frothy gurgle.

Combat is Ended

Everyone receives 555 EXP

Knowledge (Nobility and royalty) (1d20 + Ranks + INT)
  • Akbar: 12 + 0 + -1 = 11 Fail
    Beardthar: 7 + 0 + 1 = 8 Fail
    Peanut: 16 + 0 + 2 = 18 Success
    Spittle: 18 + 0 + 1 = 19 Success
    Tim-Tim: 12 + 0 + 1 = 13 Fail
You've heard the name before, the ul Berecs are an old and powerful family. Many of them are either sorceres or wizards, though they are not exclusively a family of magic users. They have a reputation for being devious, calculating, and devastatingly intelligent, albeit often times slightly less than sane. From what you know, there are not many "true" ul Berecs left, as many that remain are not of the main ul Berec line.

Tim-Tim does a short victory dance, before finishing off the sleeping or dying kobolds.

Still not sure if the death of the caster will interrupt the effects of the heat spell on Akbar's armor, Beardthar casts "Create Water" to summon a few gallons of icy cold water into the air directly above the paladin's head.

The water steams as it hits the armor, but it is now cool enough to stop any further damage.

"That was refreshing. Thanks! Now, does anyone know the language in which al-Akbar is pronounced ul-Berec? I think that'll be our best lead."

There is a little more healing charge in the Senechal's rod, so Beardthar distributes the last of it, wishing there were more.
