Beardthar tries to remember if killing the caster of "Heat Metal" will interrupt the spell.

Beardthar advances south, intending to attack the lizardman. He wouldn't try such a thing alone, but confident that the dire badger (and maybe Akbar too) will be at his side, he is emboldened.

Beardthar

Beardthar moves to the south and takes a whack at the kobold that's in his way to the lizardfolk druid.

Beardthar: 13 + 2 + 2 = 17 Hit! Beardthar hits for (1d6[5] + 3) 8 damage

Striking a good blow with his quarterstaff, Beardthar knocks the the kobold out with a single blow.

Kobold 10

Seeing the halfling, and probably believing that its companions are keeping the human fighter busy, the kobold runs for Peant and stabs at him. Before he can get to the archer though, Spittle lashes out with his halberd just as the kobold runs by.

Spittle: 16 + 3 + 3 = 22 Hit! Spittle hits for (1d10[9] + 4) 13 damage

It catches the kobold in the stomach, all but cutting the poor creature in half. It falls to the ground, with a look of surprise on its face, but absolutely dead.

Lizardfolk Druid

Seeing the dwarven druid advancing, the lizardfolk druid drops the bow its holding and unslings a quarterstaff from its back. It chants a few words, and the staff glow a bright green. It then looks Beardthar in the eye, and makes a rather rude and challenging gesture at the dwarf.

It speaks:
Lizardfolk Druid wrote:Come on then little druid, let'sss sssee if dwarvesss are better for anything than playing with rocksss.
Spellcraft (1d20 + Ranks + INT)
  • Beardthar: 20 + 3 + 1 = 24 Success
The lizardfolk druid has just cast Shilellagh on its quarterstaff.

Tim-Tim 5ft steps up ( to z19) and shoots a Color Spray at the Kobolds in front of his human fighter companion, hoping not to startle spittle.

(OOC) I made a mistake with the previous map, Kobold 5 is already supposed to be dying, I forgot to put a red X on it.

Tim-Tim

The gnome and shoots of a color spray at the kobolds.

Kobold 6 Will Save: 8 - 1 = 7 Fail!
Kobold 8 Will Save: 12 - 1 = 11 Fail!
Kobold 9 Will Save: 17 - 1 = 16 Success!

Kobold 5

The kobold mumbles incoherently in pain

Kobold 12

The kobold lies bleeding on the ground.

Kobold 8

Stoned out of it's mind, and probably being able to see sound and taste color, the kobold does little more than drool.

Kobold 9

Seeing most of its companions fallen, the kobold, surprisingly, screams in anger and runs at the gnome who just caused two of his companions to fall into a whacked out high.

Kobold 9: 17 + 1 + 1 + -0 = 19 Hit! Kobold hits for (1d6[4] + 0) 4 damage

The spear catches Tim-Tim in the shoulder, stabbing through flesh and causing quite the amount of pain.

Spittle

Spittle lashes out with his halberd and tries to trip the kobold.

Melee Touch Attack: 10 + 3 + 3 + 0 = 16 Hit!
Opposed STR/DEX Check: 13 + 3 + 3 + 0 = 19 Success!

The Kobold falls prone!

Spittle: 14 + 3 + 3 = 20 Hit! Spittle hits for (1d10[10] + 4) 14 damage

The kobold raises its hands up to try and fend off the halberd that is rapidly descending for its head. It doesn't avail it anything though, and the heavy blade cuts through its wrists, into its skull, and partially into the ground below.

Kobold 6

The kobold mumbles incoherently, hissing and spitting through the drool and snot running down its face.

Kobold 15 (Sergeant)

Seeing how everything has gone south rather quickly, the kobold sneers at your party before pulling an arrow out of its quiver and fitting it to its bow.

Spot (1d20 + Ranks + WIS)
  • Akbar: 3 + 0 + 1 + 1 = 5 Fail
    Beardthar: 6 + 5 + 3 = 14 Fail
    Peanut: 16 + 5 + 1 = 22 Success
    Spittle: 14 + 0 + 0 = 14 Fail
    Tim-Tim: 11 + 0 + 3 = 14 Fail
It looked like it pulled out an arrow from a different quiver. Last time, it drew from a quiver on its back, this time, it took an arrow from a quiver at its side. Probably a different type of arrow.

It draws back on the bow, and loses an arrow at Spittle. Like before, the arrow glows brightly as it tears through the air.

Kobold: 17 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 20 Hit! Kobold hits for (1d4[3] + 0 + (1d6[4] cold) ) 7 damage

The arrow punches into Spittle's armor and into his thigh. A moment after the initial pain, a biting coldness spreads through the wound.

Fortitude Save: 12 + 4 = 16

For a few seconds after getting hit, Spittle feels slightly nauseous, but the feeling quickly passes.

The kobold then turns tail and flees through the western passage.

Kobold 7

Unable to do anything, the kobold writhes on the ground in pain.

Round 3

Kobold 11

The kobold groans in pain, bleeding horribly.

Kobold 16

The kobold can't move, and just lies there bleeding.

Kobold 18

The kobold tries to cover its wounds, but is unable to do anything.

Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar

Akbar runs at the Druid and hacks at him with his falchion.

Akbar: 18 + 2 + 0 = 20 Hit! Akbar hits for (2d4[7] + 0) 7 damage

The falchion cuts into the lizardfolk druid, but he just grunts and glares at Akbar, as if he only just barely felt the blow.

Peanut takes a five foot step to the right, and calls out, "I'm the only archer around here!"

He fires two rounds at the lizard folk that Saint al'Akbar is fighting.

Peanut

Peanut pulls back on his bow and rapidly looses two arrows at the lizardfolk druid.

Arrow 1: 11 + 3 + 1 - 2 + 2 = 15 Miss!
Arrow 2: 14 + 3 + 1 - 2 + 2 = 18 Hit! Peanut hits for (1d6[4] + 0) 4 damage

The druid manages to duck under the first one, but the second one cuts into his arm, drawing blood.

Beardthar continues south to attack the lizardfolk He hopes the dire badger will follow his lead.

In the back of his mind, he is puzzled over what Peanut shouted. "I'm the only archer around here!" was he expressing disdain for the archering skills of the kobold archer who has been shooting at them? Or was he trying to say something else?

Beardthar

Beardthar runs at the lizardfolk, taking a swing at the druid.

Beardthar: 6 + 2 + 1 = 9 Miss!

The blow goes wild though, and utterly misses the druid.

Dire Badger

The dire badger, seeing Beardthar run at the druid, follows suit. It skirts Akbar, and tries to attack the lizardfolk druid.

Dire Badger: 12 + 4 + 2 = 18 Hit! The dire badger hits for (1d4[1] + 2) 3 damage

It manages to connect with the druid, clawing at the lizardfolk's leg.

Kobold 10

The kobold lies on the ground, dying.

Kobold 17

Unable to do much other than bleed out, the kobold remains writhing on the ground.

Lizardfolk Druid

Seeing that he is now surrounded, the lizardfolk turns his attention to Beardthar and Akbar, probably (being a druid) knowing better than to get the dire badger angry.

It wields its quarterstaff deftly, striking at Beardthar with a powerful two-handed blow.

Lizardfolk: 16 + 3 + 1 + 0 = 20 Hit! Lizardfolk hits for (2d6[7] + 0 + 1) 8 damage

It then says:
Lizardfolk Druid wrote:Even if I fall here, the master will avenge my death!
