Ahoy. I'm a few days late, but I'd like to contribute some stuff to this year's prizes. I've had some lingering guilt about ghosting the entire year of [s]2019[/s] 2018 away (oh my gosh I didn't realize how hard I hit the eject button, what year is it), but I'm in a much more stable position in life...

Scroll slices and Grid children
I want to make a selection menu with slices in which options are listed with text slices on a grid. The list will eventually get pretty long, so the whole thing is wrapped in a scroll. Before I get around to coding the nitty-gritty, I'd like to know if this will work, in case anyone's done something...

Yes, but it's extremely basic at the moment, and I don't plan to do anything especially complex with it this year unless I have some time left-over. The current logic is as follows: Is there at least one valid unit in my attack range? Yes: Select a target at random and attack, then end turn. No: Pro...

Some Zelda inspired pixelwork... That looks super neat! I like the subtle pixels indicating where the paths under the roofs go, assuming that's some sort of secret passageway, but if that's more of a normal, not-so-secret passageway that the player's going to see a lot of throughout the dungeon, mi...

Pseudo-OOP with slices?
Has anyone here ever attempted object/class programming with slices in their OHR games? I'm in the middle of making a custom battle engine that, so far, has only needed slices for sprites, boxes, and other visual elements. Some data - like Hero/Enemy stats - I've been pulling from the numbers I ente...
