Re: OHR "Haunted Halloween" 2021

I'm a little confused about how the "gimmick" thing works. Is everyone picking their own gimmick and committing to it, or are we nominating gimmicks and one is going to be chosen that we will all have to commit to? Or are we choosing one from a list of gimmicks? Gimmicks will be voted on ...

New changes to the overall theme, start day, and finish/judging date, as well as other changes.

Re: OHR Halloween 2021

I'd like to see zombies as a theme, please. If anyone needs an artist and minor NPC writer, or just general collaboration, send me a message here. I'm not picky, but I would prefer zombies. I'm not taking in Theme suggestions, but I could put "Must include Zombies" as a gimmick idea. Othe...

Re: OHR Halloween 2021

Would submitting an old game be acceptable if it was updated for the contest? I've been wanting to fix a lot of the issue with breakout.rpg. Yes as long as it fits within the guidelines. So if it fits the gimmick that will be chosen, then yes. Otherwise, no. All in all, I'm not against reentering o...

Re: Updates: Things are slowly becoming un-broken

I have BBC Code set to on in my Profile. I noticed something. Whenever I post up quotes in a different topic, it works, but for this one it does not.

Also why is all my font in Bold for some reason?

Yeah I agree with this, the Game list has a lot of issues. For instance, when I sea...

Re: SUMMER SLAM - the next gen of ohr contest

The theme of past is completely up to you how you interpret it. If your idea has too much of a stretch, I guess someone might say something, but mostly the use of the theme isn't really going to be judged as much as the game as a whole will be. The short answer, the idea that a retro game is from t...

I'm not having a problem logging in, but I keep getting logged out. I keep having to log in. Is there a reason why?

Re: SUMMER SLAM - the next gen of ohr contest

I have decided to enter the Roguelike I've been working on. I started it after Summer Slam started. I just have a couple of questions. 1. For the theme of past, I'm going with an old DOS style to my game. Is this okay, and does it fit the theme of past? 2. For 64 colors (palette reduced), I'm using ...

I would never!
My apologies for the assumption. Also I took down the game. I want to make a more epic version in the future.

Actually I would make an epic sequel next year. However I do agree with your assessment of my game. It's a terrible text adventure game I rushed out to meet a deadline. But it's not indicative of who I am as a creator. So thank you for the review, but don't judge me on this one terrible project, ple...
