I'm not entirely sure that's accurate, James. I know when I make compilation CDs via iTunes, the tracks are tagged using the ID3 tags such that my home stereo can tell me the name/artist combo for the currently playing track. I'm pretty sure at least some of the information can be embedded into the...

I have to ask... Where did these numbers come from? Elemental weakness doubling damage makes sense, but elemental strength reduces damage to 12%? And why not have enemy type weakness do double damage? Why 1.8 times the damage? It just seems so arbitrary, and it piques my curiosity. I pulled those n...

EDIT: I think the following is approximately how it works but I am not entirely sure You need to get your CD's unique ID listed in whichever public CD database that Windows Media Player consults. I think this database is maintained by Microsoft, and I don't know if there is any way to get your stuf...

By the way, that "avoid warning" hack is not needed unless you are using a rather old version of hspeak.
Code: Select all
--3Ec 2006-11-30 while(true) no longer produces a warning

Re: Question about an attack...
Here is the attack: God's Hand Damage = amount of HP lost Pure Damage Lost Health 0% extra damage does not randomize I don't think this attack is working as intended as it doesn't seem to cause any damage at all. The attack has a "holy damage" bitsets, and causes insane amounts of damage ...

Well, I have had this thing happen once before, and it didn't kill my game. I had pressed ESC when it did happen the first time. But the second time I had held the Enter key and forgot about that (dispite it saying press ESC). So yeah, anything besides ESC when that happens is an instant kill for y...

I have been using Firefox 3 for a couple months (since it was in beta) I haven't noticed any serious differences other than the awesomebard, which annoyed the heck out of me for about 2 days-- until I got used to it,and now I love it and miss it whenever I am using a computer with an older Firefox. ...

I'll put up a tech demo shortly of the maze generation and traversal scripts, which I am pretty proud of. I'll be able to store the entire game's dungeons into a very small number of globals because room layouts are pseudorandomly generated on the fly instead of being stored. I could technobabble a...
