If by adjusted level you mean from being shaken then the answer is no. Shaken doesn't mess with one's level, it just gives negatives to just about everything.
So it would be 10, not 6.

You don't need to be a monk. You can take improved unarmed strike as a feat. Therefore, you wouldn't need to be lawful to have access to the Ascetic Hunter feat.

Yea, the 60 damage surprised me too. I had to recheck things a couple times to make sure I wasn't over looking something. But a crit plus venerability to fire basically amounts to a crap ton of damage
