Ehaism, unsure of what he should do, delays until Vire's action. initiative Lao THE BEAST Cile Vire Ehaism The beast doesn't delay, however. A huge tentacle lashes out and grabs Cile. The force of the blow takes the wind out of Cile. (14 dmg) Having grappled Cile, the tentacle now squeezes and pushe...

It seems to be about monsters starting off at less than perfect health/status. Something occurred to me when I first read the post. Who's to know whether a monster has perfect health? Monster health bars aren't really seen in the OHR so maybe some of those monsters aren't in perfect health. It's rea...

How about a monster that is under a condition like Muted. that can then be cured by another monster. This would then cause the monster to be able to attack with all sorts of powerful spells and such. In the OHR you'd do this by giving the monster a spell or 2 that cost more mana than it has, and the...

EDIT: Thinking out loud here, correct me if I am wrong, but 250 pound barbarian + Enlarge Person spell + 80 foot jump onto head = 70d6 damage you are wrong, I can't even begin to guess where 70d6 even came from. I'd use the d20 modern rules for falling objects. IF you enlarged yourself I'd say you'...

They're not even in the battle area yet~! But they saw the monster drop down and are now able to react. Monster can drop from the ceiling and take no damage, but I take a tumble and am half dead >:I I wouldn't want you to think I was cheating the monster out of harms way. There's a number of reason...

Cile took 6d6 dmg. intentional jump: -1d6 tumble check: -1d6 (tumble or jump can't reduce the dmg past 1d6, and it's a DC15 to do so) The gold is not a soft surface. The monster looks kinda soft though. And better to attack your first round than simply take damage. It's just too bad you cant do some...

Cile ignores the roar coming from above while he continues to examine the treasure. The roar doesn't ignore him however. A hulking creature with an ovid body drops from the ceiling. It moves on six long tentacles instead of legs, and from between it's shoulders protrude a clavering mouth full of jag...
