Well I'll be able to identify in a couple levels so we can always get it now and hope for the best later.

EDIT:
Of course, we could spend more time shopping in the city and end up finding magic items in an actual legitimate store and be able to get our actual money's worth.

Hmm.. 2,000 eh? Well without proper research on the item it would be too much of a gamble for my tastes. I do need a dagger though, so I'll being buying that.
