i think there might be a problem with how you're trying to write it.
I suggest you use this format when doing what you're doing.

Code: Select all

else if ( check tag (tag) == false ) then
It might not HAVE to be that way, but I'm fairly certain it will work if it is that way.

well, I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is that there's no built in way to have the kind of collision detection you're looking for. The good news is, you can script in almost any kind of collision detection you want. Each step scripts won't really cut it though. It's better if you just s...

@BMR: You're welcome. I also feel like showing some graphics today. :) Here's a screenshot: http://up.picr.de/15133026rl.png I'm trying to keep the game easy to make (and still fun to play), so the standards I set are keept low. For example, NPCs pretty much look the same, the way trough the forest...

Well, before an Ouya release I think it's time for a slimesalad update.

All the above stuff should be in there, as well as the new music.

[game]Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome"[/game]

Hope I've giving people enough reason to give it another go.

Been polishing up Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome" One of the biggest complaints I've gotta about the game was the jumping. I'd fiddled with it a bit however any real changes to the script would result in me having to redo all the levels because of the difference in maximum jump length and heigh...

I like the cure spell and life fuel skill, very nice conversion abilities with no penalties. It adds some strategy for those rooms filled with those magic-eating brains, so that they're essentially taking out 3 hp in one hit (one hp, 2 mp) @_@ so it's a good idea that if you can perform such action...

I had thought about that. In fact, thats what I have going on in Tim-Tim 2. However, I think it would the size of change I'm trying to avoid. It's not that I don't want the game to be better, it's just that if I start reworking things like that, I'll want to start reworking other things, and before...

I made an attempt at mapping the gamepad buttons appropriately, and played for a while on the OUYA. I was able to beat Steve the fire-breathing Dinosaur, who I remember being mercilessly difficult in my first playthrough For gamepad play, I was thinking it would be most awesome if you could have tw...

I am currently at the slime boss. It's a very good game. The controls feel tight and the pacing is very brisk. Here my thoughts so far. *The haste spell seems useless. Is there some hidden purpose to this? *The visual could be spruced up some. I'm not suggesting redraw the tiles, but instead make t...
