Thistlewhistle stands in front of the statue holding the sword without getting too close. She looks it over. Along the blade of the sword is writing too small to read without getting right next to the statue.

Silas tries to activate the ring in a couple of ways, but nothing seems to happen.

The statue reaches out towards Silas, it opens it's previously closed hand to reveal a ring. The ring is a deep black onyx. It present the ring directly in front of Silas's hand. Then the statue turns to granite. The ring appears on Silas' finger.

All the statues are human and the two that interacted with her before are not wearing any sort of elvish symbols or anything. One of them is a boy and one is a girl as well as the ones that have not reacted to her being both male and female. She decides the only thing different is the amulet.
