Kalar opens the passage up. Even though it's a squeeze on top of 100ft ladder, Kalar has no problem getting through the hole and back into the chapel. He heads over to find Charles and finds him in his study.

Kalar heads back to the ladder. Looking up, the hatch seems to be sealed up top. Kalar looks around, but doesn't see anyway of opening it. His plans to see Charles have hit a snag.

The ghouls finally return. The statue is of a rooster and it's life sized. The ghouls also brought back a chain shirt with it's matching helmet, a pair of leather gloves, and a bracelet. They then told Kalar all that was left down there was gold, which they left behind as instructed.

The party is happy to see Rachelle back, now Kalar remains the only one not int he lab.
Kalar watches as his ghouls climb out of sight. He thinks about how long he waited in the lab before going and checking on things and figures it might be a minute or two before they're back.
