Slime Salad

Hyne falls silent. He considers hunting something to cook on the fire, but isn't sure there is much time left in the day to see well. He may consume a ration, otherwise.

He already knows about the rumored powers, so he simply responds, "Sounds like a terrible invention, if you ask me. A crown should remain an adornment and nothing more because of days like this. As for the queen, well, her abilities as a ruler aren't much of a concern for me."

Hyne responds, "There are no plans to put a new king in place? I would think that most of the nobles would be scrambling for her hand than for a silly crown."

"Young queen? So the crown isn't bound to a man?" he wonders, starting to sit down near the growing fire at this point.

"All I know is, it's been a long day." He starts to unbutton the black jacket, letting the leather armor show more than the tear in the jacket.

"Doesn't seem like a sound mind." He comments, also knowing that this duke tried to put hyne in a clearly marked vehicle. "Unless they are planning on some kind of counter ambush of sorts."

Hyne shrugs and gives an unsure hum, but manages to give an inquiry, "If somebody can make a friend that fast, it would be him." After the seasoned man explains his purpose, Hyne responds, "No doubt we will hear back from him in some way. I don't think the Jenns will expect a few stra...

Hyne plants his hands at his sides after he first steps near the camp, "Not in as much of a hurry as everyone else, huh?"

He smiles and nods, "Yes, thank you." He waits for anything else from the man before heading to the camp.

The scene is haunting, bodies already dead but further beheaded laid out neatly with little regard to decency. He can only assume that the bodyguard nearby is waiting for him.

Horace hmphs at the hurt ego of the man, "Perhaps you should have been the first to show bravery." He says, "I can prepare a spell that will render the poison harmless, but if it is still decided to press forward, then so be it."

Hyne stashes the box once more, and returns to the wagon site.

Hyne approaches the thick brush where he stashed the box and looks to ensure it is still there.

"Wait." He tosses a couple of rations as well.

Hyne draws his knife at the man.



Then he flips the knife, catching it by the blade between his thumb and finger and holds it out to him, "You'll need something like this out in the wilderness."

He crosses his arms, "..The war room that night would just be a session of marking maps and deciding when to sortie."

Hyne steps forward, "Say you happened to escape, 'you think you can get back to your home?"
