Don't turn it on by default! It just doesn't look good for a lot of games that absolutely depend on pixel or even sub-pixel detail. If anything, it's never going to replace the issue of having a low resolution, it's only going to remind us even more of what the resolution the game runs at because th...

You are a pixel art BEAST, Lucier! Those are some of the most amazing graphical overhauls I've seen.

I echo the sentiment that having different "levels" with different world maps and scenarios and end bosses would really add to the game by keeping its replayability but also adding freshness.

I grinded in the forest, went through the cave to get Ultimate Armor, hired some goons, won the game. Really fun game. I am going to try exploring more possibilities now. EDIT: My fastest time so far.. http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6824/wizardbomb0001.png I've been trying to optimize, but a lot ...

Use the same idea where the stat caps are easily maxed out that way your game is guaranteed to be balanced in the last parts of the game.

I would fix the ceiling clipping in areas where you are often hitting the ceiling when trying to platform in narrow spaces. That seems to be the biggest problem for me. I haven't gotten very far since I got lost with no MP and died and now have to restart. I think adding lives to the game would be a...

I indeed voted. This is a great game, though not one I would play to get a high score, but rather to do stuff. I really like the simplicity in the design.

If you export a tileset or backdrop, GraphicsGale should be able to pick it up if you load that .bmp. I find GraphicsGale especially useful for editing palettes since you can just click on a color and you can then change what that color. which i assume GIMP can't do? I think it may be able to. I hav...

I recommend Graphics Gale for pixel art. Has the simplicity of MS Paint with other tools (such as easy access to the OHR palette if you are editing maptiles that are exported).

Very good issue with a lot of hype involved for games.

It's good that Callahat revealed his lighting technique. I may use this myself (since one of my games doesn't use layers anyway).
