On the opposite end, JRPGs that are more about the macro than the micro usually don't have super powered bosses except for like the lategame.
Don't list examples of the contrary.

Instead of drawing graphics, like I'm supposed to, it's time to play Final Fantasy. The story thus far, is that Racer X, who is actually Speed's older brother who dissappeared years ago, has just saved Speed from sudden disaster by warning him about the falling rocks just ahead of the race course. M...

Whatever you do, you should definitely have a character dedicated to support magic. It's magic! Maybe you don't want to restrict your spell selection. FINE. But you should showcase how awesome SLEP and CONF are. Everyone already knows that FIR3 does a lot of damage. Fewer people know that BANE work...

The final day of Final Fantasy. The LIGHT WARRIORs gather back to the front of the INN in Corneria, the body of Billy Lee floating behind, having been ignored this whole journey. It is not uncommon for dead bodies to float with their companions, as if they had a consciousness. We're ready to try the...

And so our Heroes' journey into the Mirage Tower begins again. I didn't describe as much last time, what enemies I fight etc. I hope to do that more this time, and I'll start with some things I skipped. Last time I decided to cut a lot of detail I assumed people already know, but I think I'll talk a...

I found it to be worth the $5 personally. Being able to copy my save file over to an SD card to keep the results of my last party when starting a new game is pretty nice. I forgot to mention about the Power Staff, it sells for 12356G (I think that's the exact amount) which is quite a lot of money. T...

Starting the playthrough: Everything is in turmoil. The wind stops, the earth rots, the fish aren't biting, and the volcano is suspected to be a nuclear missile silo. Our four heroes must revive the power of the ORBs they carry, in order to discover the secret behind the madness, and correct the bal...

@Mogri: It's just a different idea, and they did it wrong . It's as simple as that. I still prefer the original MP system. Everyone knows that Bl Belt straddles the fence between underpowered and game-breaking anyway; where's the fun in that? Watching him get there? --- @Fenrir: I'm aware of all of ...

@Mogri: The MP change is actually one of the few changes I don't dislike in the GBA version since it inherently doesn't affect balance on its own. It's just that spell costs haven't been made more expensive to compensate for the change + the addition of Ethers that break the game. --- So far I am li...
