Okay folks, gather round. Here is Dr. Gomez's genuine, bonafide, patent proof, 100% guaranteed to be a #1 smash hit recipe for game design. #1. The cast has to be high school kids. Old men wish they were high school kids. High school kids wish they could change the world. Old Men and High School Kid...

I agree 100% with your bold text, but you have to try to remember that the law is also written to allow the maximum possible enforcement and the judges and juries are to decide just how strict the punishment should be. $22,500 is a hell of a lot of money to you or I, but to Sony Records or EMI, that...

The felony thing is part of the bill. Again, I haven't had time to read the whole thing, but what I did read suggests that the intention of this bill is to merge the rules for internet radio with the rules for real radio. Thus, running an illegal stream of Top 40 hits should be just as felonious as ...

That's true, he could. He could also go to jail for pissing in the mop bucket at a fancy restaraunt, decking reporters in the eye and smuggling apes into Europe, but he probably won't. That's a discussion for another time. Copyright infringement is serious business. Would it not be pretty crappy if ...

I'm sorry guys, this law makes sense. The current law doesn't cover a lot of nuances that streaming and the internet open up. People who write and perform songs for a living utilize services like Sony's Vevo and Google's Youtube to get their videos out there and to turn a bit of profit off them from...

A sneak peek of things to come? http://i.imgur.com/aOW5O34.png I also found a trivial bug! In Edit Text Boxes -> Box Appearance, if you select Text Color with the enter key and then choose a different color from the resulting palette, when you exit the palette screen the numerical representation of ...

I think when you use the add command, you're supposed to seperate it from the numbers involved with commas. Like, shouldn't it look like:

Code: Select all

stepcounter,add,1

Not going to be using these in my game, but I did a little practice with some ripped FF6 stuff I found and "converted" to "8-bit" with the fill tool. http://i.imgur.com/625ZoBx.png http://i.imgur.com/nTR673V.png Notice how they're still pretty awesome, even with most of the color...

With plotscripting, yes. How I'd do it: I'd have a global variable for each spell for every hero. Hero1Fire1, for instance. And after every battle, I'd check their equipment, and grant them points to that variable if say, The Fire Stone warranted it. Have a script that runs every time you close the ...

In theory you could play games with Global Variables. I don't know what to call this kind of math, but I'd say do it "Bit Style". So say you have a global variable for Narshe representing 16 NPCs. If you want NPC 1 to be destroyed, you'd add 1 to "NarsheNPCs" and if "NarsheN...

Wow, never saw that one coming. Congrats on breaking the streak, Okedoke. (I still don't know how to do special characters online without typing them in Word first and hoping they translate in the copy/paste.) ALT+0233 and ALT+130 both make é, assuming you're using some form of Windows. I'm not sur...

I don't see anything wrong with the pink, I kinda liked the variety it added. Of this new set of colors, I think I like the red the best, then the light brown and then the dark brown. I actually kind of dig the greens too, don't be too quick to put them off. Realism is overrated.

My favorite part is when you've been trying to get a plotscript to work all night and finally out of nowhere some tiny little change fixed it. My least favorite thing is when a script works right off the bat, 'cause it means there's something broken just waiting to pop up later. For me art is always...
