Finally in his element, and refreshed to see the party showing some manners to the hosts for a change, Galse gladly sits at his assigned place. He seems to be taking particular interest in the eating habits and etiquette of his neighbors/fellow diners, and even more particular interest in the behav...

A lookup code, I should mention, isn't a slice handle. It's a means to get a slice handle via LookUpSlice . Open up your .hsi, and look at the entry for sli:bullet and sli:monster. See that number to the left? That's what you're actually saying when you say if (slicecollide (sli&...

Galse just gives Kalar a look, but there's something in those squinty eyes that says "I've got your back.". It's good tactics, and Galse was already planning to bring any combat to an end with a lovetap to the back of the head anyway.[/i]

"Too heavy to carry, too hard to eat." Galse says, gesturing dismissively towards the gold. The key, though. That could be something. A pantry, an icebox, maybe even a dumbwaiter. Valuable resources to be sure, but that could easily lead to anarchy and upset the delicate balance of resour...

"He was a curious little fellow. Sort of a shame, I suppose, but he died doing what he loved: trying to steal stuff. We can only hope the rest of us will be so lucky." Galse will, after his eulogy, observe a moment of silence while the gas disperses before checking out the contents of the...

A slice handle is basically just the number that the engine uses to refer to that particular slice, kinda like how you can say Hero (Me) to refer to the first hero or whatever. There's a lot of different ways to get a particular slice handle. As you've seen, most of the ways you can load or create a...

Okay, I think that's your problem. A Map-Autorun script doesn't work the way you seem to think it does. It only runs automatically when you first enter that map, so it only checks all those conditionals once, and if you're not doing whatever in that particular 18th of a second, you're out of luck. Y...

I'm confused as hell here. Are you saying the script actually works sometimes? It looks like as soon as Lever is greater than 5, the game returns to the title screen, which would prevent anything too bad from happening. But with "while (CheckTag (12))", it looks like as soon as Tag 12 is o...

I've never thought about how to do this with NPCs before, so I'm gonna be making it up as I go along. What you're going to want is something really smooth and elegant to check all of them at once. To my eye, that means cycling through everything using the NextSibling family of commands . Because of ...
