Maze of the Red Mage had really fun writing, and is short enough that dying repeatedly really didn't bother me.

I think I'm still going to go ahead and make the game I was planning, but there's no way I'll be able to work on it next weekend. I'll just put it out as a non-contest release instead.

I just finished, and I think the issue is just a really solid issue. I enjoyed this Ask Surlaw a lot more, I think maybe because it was in a writing format instead of typed dialogue? A Boy and His Blob is my favorite game of 2009 that no one played. I've only gone through the first half, but I think it's the best looking game on the Wii, the puzzles are clever, and it's an extremely relaxing experience, even when it gets hard. The story's already plotted out. #3 is Ask Surlaw in Jail, #4 is Ask Surlaw on Trial. That will likely be the last one, with a possible Ask Reformed Surlaw some months later.
