Giving him crazy eyes and a huge toothless maw of a mouth WOULD make him look more like Elmo.

ALSO: Why is there no music award? (My thoughts on this subject will be moved to a new thread momentarily) It's been discussed before but it comes down to the problem that 99.9% of OHR games just use ripped music. This year was definitely better than most for the number of games with original music...

He needs his huge, monstrous grin. The little smirk isn't Elmo enough or creepy enough. Other than that I think it's a good sprite, though maybe his eyes should look a little crazier. I think they normally touch too.

Voting is extended to April 2nd, though I'd really prefer to see more votes earlier than that! Finally posting my own votes: GOTY 2010 1 - Duck - This was honestly my most enjoyable OHR game experience of the year. 2 - The Account of Duck Duck - Another game about a duck, but a very different one. A...

Thanks for being useless I guess.

I don't know if I'll be adding them retroactively. Maybe. It would take time that I don't really have right now, but maybe eventually. The problem with adding polls to older issues is that the polling site I use (pollcode) expires a poll once it's had a year of inactivity, so it would be a lot of ef...

I have to blame faceboook, people have got accustomed to just pressing the "like" button instead of giving feedback. So you should just make Hamster Speak a facebook page and you'll get a lot of feedback in likes! ... I'm only partially kidding. Going back to this idea, I've now added an ...

Readership isn't really the problem, the number of unique views we get more or less increases every month. It's contribution/feedback that's a bigger hurdle. also, i will write a review for Castle on the Night Land, Princess Flesh, and the FFIII remake. and was my game so crappy as to not be mention...

It might just be me, but when I vote in the "Which articles did you like?" thing, I feel like I'm doing my part towards feedback. Maybe if there weren't that easy way out, people would be more vocal? There was a huge lack of feedback before the polls were added, too, that was the reason t...

The burn out isn't just writers, we used to get way more comments on articles, way more suggestions for new articles, and way more votes in the polls (both magazine polls and the GOTY2010 vote). Readership, going by web stats, is humongously higher than the first year's issues, and yet feedback is w...
