Just replayed the NES version and yeah it still rules and it's nuts that you get no continues, but it's not bad once you learn the stages. Some of them dump 1ups on you.

I'll review it this week. In the meantime, EAT THIS Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Great stage design, fantastic music, a unique way of fighting, perfect control and physics. It's one of the most well made NES platformers regardless of being a licensed game, though honestly most of Disney's licensed games from those years are extremely high quality. It runs off of a modified Mega ...

I don't think this needs its own thread so I'll just post it here: WayForward is releasing a remake of the NES DuckTales game for $15 this summer and it looks perfect, I'm thrilled, time to review the old game.

Simon's Quest is almost 100% great ideas, terrible execution. There's no excuse for how stupidly the puzzles were translated, even on the NES. At least I can beat it though, I can't make it anywhere in Castlevania 3.

These Wario Land sequels all sound a lot better than the first game.

I actually like Food Fight in the arcade but I assume the Atari version is super terrible. Simon's Quest I could definitely write plenty about, Simpsons Arcade too. I haven't played Roger Rabbit or Back to the Future but I've heard many bad things!

(I honestly don't remember if I ever played this game)
I do want that. VERY BADLY. But I'll get there through hard work and business instead of hitting pirates with malformed Goombas.

How is Mass Effect anyways? I hear good things about it, but not sure if it's my style of game. The first game is good for role playing, the third game is good for shooting monsters, the second is good for a little bit of both. The first game has terrible combat and sidequests but the world's great...

I just finished the new Citadel DLC in Mass Effect 3. I'll review it later on but for now: It's pretty fantastic, definitely the best extra content in the series, among the best DLC in any game I've played.

I'd said I wasn't going to run it this year but anyone else who wants to can go ahead.

Squares with color gradients are acceptable in hobbyist, free games. Not so much in full price games by Nintendo, especially ones that have very nicely drawn player characters. The whole thing felt rushed and cheap. It's not like I expected a super challenging game, but it would have been nice to at...
