Those walkabouts made me think of NES Dragon Warrior. :) I was actually going for GameBoy Color Dragon Warrior. Either way, one of the nice little touches for that series that I liked about its walkabouts was that the characters were drawn with weapons at the ready but weren't always blatantly flip...

If I had an interest in post-apocalyptic settings and a reasonable assurance that the games would run, I'd consider doing this.

Yeah, pretty sure I was last using Game Maker 4 or Game Maker 5.

Doesn't look any good to me, but maybe the sceenshot just isn't showing me anything I find appealing.

If heroes becoming so mighty from their manly exercises that they become able to treat goblins or ogres as chumps is a problem, why not just make leveling up give slower stat progression? It makes more sense than for every member of every species to be out there level-grinding at roughly the same ra...

For me it's Gnomus, I'll Wander the World, and Victory3 my most-used default battle, overworld, and victory themes respectively.

The bottom option on the poll is worded badly and implies that it's somehow lazier to not snap than it is to snap.

I have cousins from Georgia that pronounce it "pa-sketty" or "sketsy" depending on mood, and call hamburgers "hang-ga-bers" or "han-ga-bers".

If you feel a need to snap it, you're cooking in too small of a pot.

So the answer for me is I do it, but rarely and a little reluctantly.

Personally I'm still hoping for by-character inventories.

Best part will be using this to make backdrops to import for use in games.

It was probably cut to make room for commercial breaks, since I grew up on a VHS recording of a TV broadcast. Same thing with Mickey and the Beanstalk and Dumbo.
